Really? Where on earth does it say Ngata is a 4-3 DT? It says he's a defensive tackle, but 4-3 is nowhere to be found... Very provocative... Before you counter this in any way, a DE in a 3-4 defense is basically, a DT. They spend a majority of their time at the 3, or 5 tech.

In addition, it clearly states in the article YOU provided that he is a defensive end by their own definiton used at PFF.

This could be debated all day. The defense is a hybrid. We really use a 4-3 alignment and gap integrity, with 3-4 principles and schemes. If you watched the preseason games, which I am [i]heavily inclined [/i]to say you [i]haven't, [/i]you would notice Suggs is standing up more. Cody, is head up on the center. Both prove your [i]theory[/i] wrong. Everyone else seems to accept this as fact, why won't you?

First of all I never said that we are a 4-3 because Suggs rushes the passer a lot because that doesn't mean anything.

Second of all, it's ironic that you're calling me out to provide facts when you have yet to provide a single fact yourself. If you want facts I can provide you with some, although limited they are facts; we run a base 4-3 defense more than 40% of the time which is more than we run any other formation or else would wouldn't have been classified as a 4-3 by PFF. Also 54% of the snaps where Suggs was on the field last year he had his hand in the dirt with a 4 man defensive line and 23% of the time he was a DE (hand in the dirt) as part of a 3 or fewer man line.

Third, since it clearly states that Suggs is a DE and Ngata is a DT that that would provide enough evidence for an informed football fan like you seem to be that that would infer that they run a 4-3.
