Well Michael Lombardi said basically he was a Pro Bowl player but thats because its a popularity contest, he said he got beat out by two rookies in camp...so Bill cut him...sounds like he's overrated

Apparently, Meriweather is now a Bear. According to John Clayton, he signed a one year contract with Chicago.

I never thought he was any good, he was way overhyped coming out of college and under produced in the NFL.

I saw this coming from a mile away. Especially after the better safety in Sanders got released.

I guess he'd be a good fit with the Bears though, since their secondary isn't very good.

Well I got to disagree with this. You say the Pro-Bowl is a popularity contest, yes it is. But you have to do something on the field for people to remember your name when it comes time to vote. If it was [i]just[/i] a popularity contest, Ray Rice would've been back last year.
