All of the Analysts have Pittsburgh winning the division. 3 of them have us totally missing the playoffs, Which is hard to believe considering we've upgraded at almost every position this off season. They must forget that we acquired Lee Evans because all I'm hearing from them is how we lost Mason and our young receivers are going to falter. I think these predictions are typical, but not accurate. If the Steelers win the division, It's not going to be because they won it by a landslide like most people are thinking they are going to.

Also notice how majority of them have the same exact Super Bowl prediction.... Saints over Patriots... gee that's different. It seemed they just went with the bandwagon teams and said here's our predictions.

Dont put much stock into this stuff.. Its an interesting read but other than that, its miss cleo nonsense. No one knows how the season will turn out. I assume the steelers and ravens will split games like they always do.. us losing game 1, and winning game 2 (vs steelers). If we meet in the playoffs is to be determined. The steelers are the vetern team that hasnt lost much of their team from the previous year - they are the "obvious" divisional winnners per "experts". What they dont take into account is the aging defense of the steelers.. im not saying to look past them, but you also need to take into account our youth on offense - that will be a weakness turned strength by end of season.

The real question is, can our young guys step up enough week 1? I wouldn't count them totally out.

If all these so-called experts really knew anything at all, the Colts and Patriots would have represented the AFC in the last 10 SBs. They are their darlings. They pick them every single year.

I prefer it that way. Flying under the radar. Don't need to hear about how great this team is..last year ESPN picked the Ravens to win the SB and counted out the Steelers and look what happened. Hopefully the roles are reversed this year.

Shouldn't we be used to this as a fan base?

Yes, suprisingly people are still shocked and feel slighted when the national media picks other teams over the Ravens. Who care what they think.

We should be used to it, I think we're just shocked at the ignorance of these analysts. I don't know if it's bias, ignorance, or one too many hits to the head, but these analysts don't know what they're talkin about half the time.

You have to remember , if its not the Stealers, Pats, Saints, Falcons , Cowboy and Jets. They are not up to date on our teams or others for that matter. We will have the last laugh. I say Screw them all. If they dont bleed purple and black then i dont care about them.

Yeah well, who woulda thought they would say something like that ?? Cant say I care because they have said that every year except for last and they were wrong all those times too, so it will just be one more thing to discredit them next year when they say we will bein the basement of the division or something else crazy.

None of the media think the Ravens will do well this year, I like it like that personally..we always perform at our best when everyone counts us out and the team like it too, they like being underdogs..they're going to go out and punch you in the face..not literally of course

Exactly. We should be used to them automatically dismissing our chances against the Steelers, them calling our defense old, and them bashing Flacco...this has gone on for how long now? Yet there is still a new thread on it almost every other day.

By midseason, if things look different than these analysts have predicted then they will adjust their predictions as if they never said the Ravens would miss the playoffs. It makes no sense that we even listen to them but then someone asks them to say something so they do. No one really knows how things will play out. Even if one were to say something very sensible, one injury could change it all. For instance, the Steelers could start off 4-1 and then lose Big Ben to a season ending knee injury. What does that do to their season? So called expert... SMH

Opinions don't matter and I don't care, but I'd like to know what schedule all these talking heads are looking at. They seem to be down on the whole division (to varying degrees) when all 4 teams get the AFC South and the NFC West this year. That is a bare minimum of 6-7 wins out of 8 games for both us and the Steelers. Yet everywhere I'm seeing Steelers and Ravens both 9-7, 10-6 from the "experts." Don't see how the Ravens and Steelers win less than 12 again this year..

They claim Pittsburgh's defense isn't "too old", but last year Troy and Aaron Smith were injured. Harrison had back surgery. Taylor broke his thumb. They're not too old, just old enough to play football effectively with osteoporosis.

Then over their last few years their QBs have been routinely getting taken out of the game for injuries. Somehow none of this matters to analysts. Age is just a number. So are wins and losses.

When they do these lists it seems like none of them go out on a limb and say anything that deviates to far from the norm out of fear of looking stupid. "I better say [Brady, Vick, Rivers, Brews, Rodgers] will be [NFL MVP, Offensive POY] and the [Saints, Pats, Eagles, Packers] will win it all or else I might get weird looks"

They might be right, but its all the same thing... just the safe bet. Someone go out on a limb and take a chance.... I dont care what it is... but someone please just say something different and back it up with some legitimate reasons.
