Week 3: Cleveland Browns At Baltimore Ravens

355 posts in this topic

With the Steelers falling to the Eagles, the Ravens are 2-0 and in 1st place of the AFC North!

Next week's Monday night showdown will be the ultimate test for Joe Flacco, and it'll be the Ravens' chance to solidify their place atop the division by posting a 3-0 divisional record if Baltimore can beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

3-0 in the division is only half the battle in winning the divisional title, folks. Remember, there's 6 divisional games a year, and if the Ravens can go at least 4-2 or better in the division, that's almost a guaranteed ticket for a wildcard berth or better, provided that they take care of the rest of their games on the schedule.

Time to get get ready for the Orioles game! A big win at Yankee Stadium tonight would be soooo sweet. A little bit of payback for 1996 ACLS!

Goodnight, all. See you next game!

Well said my friend......The missus and I watched the Philly game last week. They look tough, prepared and hungry. McNabb and Westbrook are both on top of their game so far this year and it promises to be a helluva contest!

Yeah it sounded to me that Landry got a scaring of a lifetime but should get through it with little personal loss and football loss.

yeah i watched the eagles game. The only thing the ravens need to worry about is the Their Defense which was the only thing that looked good. The eagles d look good also. The steelers O line stunk up the place. The eagle just took advantage of everything. Im going to the Ravens steelers game in pittsburgh next week. I can't wait.
go ravens!!!

That's great because our DL is looking amazing. We should be able to repeat what we did to Big Ben last year. I hope to see a lot of sacks.

In addition to the shoulder injury he was dealing with, Big Ben left the game with a hand injury. Whether he doesn't play next week, or if he plays at less than 100% it will only work in our favor.

They recently said on ESPN that Landry has movement in all his extremities. Excellent news considering all things.

On a side note, that second interception for Flacco was to another former U of Delaware player, Mike Adams. Maybe Joe was just hooking up a fellow alumnus. <_<

I think we'll let someone like, oh, John Harbaugh decide who the starting QB ought to be. Maybe the Ravens players, coaches, analysts and fans are all wrong that Flacco is going to be good. Thanks for clueing us into our problem! Lucky for us we found you, otherwise we would have been tricked into believing we had a QB!

Phew! Close one.

Now get thee back to the Browns message boards little troll.

For Flacco's second NFL game, I am damn impressed. Flacco is our future, he is only going to improve. He will make mistakes and he will learn from them.

Disappointing offensive performance, but the defense looked really amazing.

Once Joe Flacco gets more experience for himself and the offensive chemistry starts to build I think we're going to become a hell of a lot better.

As it stands right now though 2-0 with 2 division wins is a good place to be. ^_^

OH MY!!

I just got back from the Ravens game and it was AWESOME. It was the smash mouth in your face defense and the crowd was way into it. That hit on Winslow from Lewis had the whole stadium in a frenzy along with the Reed pick and McAlister off the hit. Our defense was AWESOME!!!! This had to be our statement game on how the rest of the season is going to be, defense just SHOVING around the Browns and the offense controlling the clock.

Only bad thing was that I saw my favorite player get taken off a stretcher off the field. :(

But from the news it seems like he's OK

Sooooo...I was watching highlights of the game a couple times today (can't get enough of that defense!), and I can't believe the Browns' offense was so horrible...

I mean, no disrespect intended, but you would think that, with all those weapons, Cleveland would move the ball much more effectively and muster more than just 1 offensive TD, as opposed to the Ravens' 3 offensive TDs.

In two games, the Ravens have allowed exactly 2 TDs (1 offensive, 1 defensive), only 20 total points, and have yet to allow an opponent to exceed 200 total yards of offense.

Even though it's early in the season, the Ravens have the #1-ranked defense, with the league's top-ranked pass defense, and the fifth-best run defense. Currently, only the Eagles, Steelers, Vikings, and Bears have stopped the run better.

One TD was on a rogue fumble by Ray Rice, the other was on a 3rd & 9 screen pass which we should have stopped.
