20-17 - Steelers

It takes a lot out of me to post that but with our inexperience I think the slight edge goes to the Steelers. I think by week 9 and, hopefully the playoffs, both wins go to the Ravens (so long as we stay healthy). It could go either way. Last year, we had the advantage...it was our carelessness that cost us the last two games. This year WE WILL be the better team. I will cheer for the Ravens, because it is certainly possible that they come out with the W in week 1....BUT, we're still developing right now. The coaches seem to be focusing on playoffs and a win over the Steelers THERE rather than week 1. I can handle this loss in week 1 SO LONG AS WE WIN week 9 and in the playoffs.

I guarantee you Joe is focused and ready to make a statement after all the flak he has taken.

My prediction: Ravens win 27-16. Joe throws for 240 yds and 2 TDs. Ben gets sacked 4 times and throws a pick while on the run the entire game.

Steelers do not exactly have a stellar O line either. Nor, for that matter, a stellar secondary. Harrison is not 100%, your O line has taken injuries, our pass rush is improved. Ben spends a lot of time on his back, our O line holds up and without an imposing pass rush your shoddy secondary gets exposed.

37-31 ravens take it both defenses are not what they once were and have both shown soft spots in the secondary so this one will be a shootout with the QBs and speedsters Evans Reed Smith all making some contribution as well as Pitta and Dickson but thats also saying Wallace and Brown are gonna burn are Dbs for a few with the run game on both teams being a non factor

Thanks to the Commish we will be without the services of Mr. Reed for Week 1, I think Doss will step up and make some plays though.

If the Ravens defense gives up 27 points to the Steelers at home, I will be very disappointed. Unless you were counting on Steelers defense and special teams scoring some touchdowns?

Haha, if the Ravens can't get within Billy Cundiff's range even once at home... that is not a very good sign for the rest of the season.

Without going into much details, I say 31-13 Ravens.

Even though we'll score 31 points, it won't be as pretty as it sounds. The offense will still have its miscues, but explosive plays will allow us to over come them where in years past we couldn't.

The unpredictability of Pagano's defense will give Ben and that offense a tough time.

17-6 halftime lead, turns into a 31-13 victory.

Yes, that is true. It was a boneheaded mistake, but it seems like such a small violation (with no prior incidents) to deserve a suspension.
