I dont understand your point. I am saying we did not keep a probably last 3 roster spot guy over those guys just to cut him now because we singed this new center. So your saying i could say we kept lewis on the roster over cantwell so now when we sign a veteran quarterback we can cut lewis? I am talking about specific players, your generalizing a specific point which makes 0 sense and only fits in with guys who were in the last few roster sports

I guess my point was that you could have chosen any of the "on the bubble" players and substituted them into your original statement where you said McAdoo. Are you assuming McAdoo is the one to be released? If I were to make an assumption, I would assume Phillips.
