Someone Please Tell Warren Sapp...

... That Kelly Gregg is no longer on our roster. I believe I'm catching the NFL Network Total Access Post Preseason game show (rerun of Thursday 9/1/11 evening) where Rich Eisen, Deion Sanders, Kurt Warner and (the) Sapp are discussing preseason games and teams.

It seems to me that Warren Sapp has NOT WATCHED A SINGLE one of our games. In fact I'm going to call him out on it. He's rehashing the same nonsense about our defense not getting any younger (really?) and we gotta beat Pitt. Yeah we know. Welcome to January Warren.

It's September now get with our current roster there big guy.

Things to note that he said that ticked me off:

Ngata cannot rush

Gregg is somehow back on our roster (LOL @ Warren)

Our defense is old and won't be able to make the key stops anymore

And of course offense struggles (I'll give him the BOD here on this)

What really got me is that he's an "analyst" and I honestly think he hasn't watched a single preseason game.

Ravens PR staff (and any Ravens staff reading this) I'm looking to you to set this guy straight. Do I expect him to know everything about our team? No, but c'mon man at least stay current with the latest news.

Here's to serving this guy a plate a freshly cooked crow in the future....

I just caught that! WOW! What do we have to do for respect? That defense isnt getting any younger. Ok, maybe Ed and Ray are not. But I believe our average age on defense is 28 and the steelers is 30. GREGG IS A CHIEF SAPP! Ngata and Suggs are our only pass rushers..... well if youve seen a single defensive snap you would know thats not true. Cant wait to watch us take it to the Steelers week 1 and show them what we are about.

I totally agree with you Corvus! It's doesn't irritate me when an analyst gives his honest opinion of a team and backs it up with legitimate reasons for why he/she feels that way, but when guys do what Warren Sapp did it really burns me up! Like Corvus said, It's like he hasn't even been following the team through this off-season and basically looking from last years results/roster to base his opinion from and that's just not right. The guy gets paid to be an analyst and to be honest I truly feel I could do that job better than most of these goons they put behind the table. This stuff doesn't just happen to the Ravens either. It's truly a joke!

Its what I've been saying for months, opinions are opinions and there is no reason to get worked up over these idiots' opinions, but when you don't even know the facts, its just an embarrassment to real journalists and humanity in general that these football "analysts" are talking out of their rears. Sapp has no clue how much more stupid he looks (if that was possible) when he is blatantly making statements that contradict facts. Too funny, and too sad that this is what the media world is like today.

Actually what he was saying in regards to Ngata was that the front office didn't address the pass rush in the draft/free agency and that Ngata shouldn't be the answer to our pass rush w/ Suggs.

Everything else, I agree with you.

ESPN, NFL NETWORK, FOX... only know about Dallas, NE, Indy, and NY football. As far as the characteristics of a team, who plays where, who does what well, they dont know anything about Balt, or about 20 other teams. They all just regergitate the same stuff over and over again.

Sapp saying the stuff about Gregg is a prime example of the "Baltimore is old" rhetoric. They are so used to saying that they don't bother to update their facts.

We have 4 starters 30 years or older on defense and 2 of them are first ballot Hall of Famers and the other 2, IMO, will probably be losing their jobs half way through the season .JJ=Kruger,Kindle .Redding=Pernell McPhee

Yeah I heard the Kelly Gregg comment last night. I thought about opening a twitter account just to send him a tweet telling him that Gregg is no longer with the team and that the Steeler's defense is older than the Raven's defense.

I've never been a fan of Sapp the analyst. Anybody who relies upon going bug eye and constantly repeating repetitive one liners like, 'Look out!', 'Woah!', et al. , shouldn't be an analyst. Last time I checked, its better to have a brain.

He got paid hundred of thousands by just coming in without doing any homework and <talks crap> as if he knows everything. Sapp is a joke and presented himself like a dummy in front of the camera.

Again, Kelly Gregg on the Ravens' roster...lol

After I heard him say that NE would be a top 5 defense this year and that Mark Sanchez is a top 10 QB, I realized that he took one too many head slaps when he was in the trenches...

I wonder if Ray gave him the cold-shoulder or something because I used to like him but he's turned into a hater.

I think he wants to join the "social acceptance" as loving the Steelers.
