Look to beat Pitsburgh, we need another good MLB to help Ray Lewis, Lofa Tapatu is the best one out there, not a bad idea, cause when 52 retires and we draft a MLB in next years draft, Lofa will mentor them. Another idea is bring in Pat Williams, he still has it, and could be great next to Ngata. Any other suggestions, Andre Gerode mabey.

Lofa Tatupa is a great Linebacker but it is very curious why no one has signed him yet. Is he injured? Did he lose a step? You don't see guys like that on the market for that long unless there is a red flag.

I am content with the team we have, Andre Gurode would be nice if Birk was on IR but he is back and he will be fine for the opener. Not sure what the corner market it is but I would always love solid depth there.

Overall, like I said the team is fine but if some players get cut from other teams, than yeah, I can see something along the lines of that Houshmanzadeh signing of 2010.

The Ravens have their own plans, a lot of veteran players are going to be cut soon....and if something is out there that can help the Ravens they will go out and get it.

Even with Ngata's deal not done we still have about 2.5 million under the cap

Alexir said it, why is Tatupu still available especially when you have teams like the bills, lions, cards, and eagles who could use him. Now if he were to come here and was at the level he showed seattle than ecstatic would not be enough to explain how I would feel about that move.

Like I said above I think once teams have to make their cuts to get down to 53 there will be opportunity for the Ravens to pick up a couple players if they think they can add to the team and make it better.

If the Ravens could get Ngata's deal done this week, that would really help free up some cap room so they could sign up some of these roster cuts.

I really wanted Kirk Morrison, but I don't really see anyone worth picking as of right now.

Maybe that'll change after the final cuts.

Are there any other possible cuts happening for Center/Guard like Andre Gerode? I am glad Birk is back but I do think we need to bring in a ready to go talent to backup or take over. I still want to pick up a backup veteran QB for Joe after week 1, someone like Jake Delhomme maybe. And yes we should get a starter CB and LB. Foxworth is not ready. I really hope to see alot from Kindle, Mcphee, Macadoo, Jones. I hope to see good competition among WR, TE, RB and CB. Is anyone really sold on Kruger? Who could replace him? maybe a trade for him and Foxworth together? I'm just saying.

Tatupu would come at a high price. There is a reason he isn't signed.

he has no leverage.. Thats not why he isnt signed

I haven't any problem with Jameel McClain starting ILB, he's done a good job.

I think Ozzie will be on the prowl for a player who gets cut, as per usual, but I don't expect us to sign any of the current FAs.

He is very suspect in coverage!

Lofa is made of glass and past his prime. You dont think Ozzie would have already scooped him up if that werent the case??

I hadn't ever noticed that to be fair but I'll pay more attention to him now. Either way I doubt Ozzie thinks he's that much of an update or we would have picked him up by now.

I'm fine with Jameel McClain or Dannell Ellerbe next to Ray. Tatupu would cost too much. Plus like everyones been saying, there must be a reason no one has signed him yet.

I would really to see Lofa in Bmore!! Sign Ngata and the players who will be cut this weekend.... will free up alot of space for him to get interested......

Ozzie may be able to get some quality depth with the 53 man roster cuts - at OLine, perhaps - but I don't look for a high-priced former starter getting signed.
