Ben Grubbs is actually leaving the line of Scrimmage as the QB toss has been made!

Going outside? Or up to a backer? If he pulls outside it's a pull, if he goes up to a backer its a down block.

I have played OL before (albeit unwillingly). Your logic is flawed because if a hole is created, it means a lineman moves somebody to make that hole

You're not quite understanding what I'm saying. It's not the oline's direct job to make the hole. Obviously, moving somebody will create a hole. But their job is to move somebody, not to make a hole. Whether or not thats the same thing is up to interpretation, but thats what I'm inferring from the articles.

Also, the main difference, is in a man scheme, there is one predetermined hole. In a zone scheme, the hole is not predetermined.

There we go. Took a while, but you finally worded it right. In man scheme you get a specific call like 54 Power, where 5 denotes the ball carrier and 4 denotes the hole where the said ballcarrier is supposed to go, but in zone, the RB looks from play side to weak side and goes to the first hole he sees
