How/where Should I Try And Improve?

11 posts in this topic

I'm in a 12 team auction league with pretty standard scoring (but points for return yards), and here is the results of my draft

QB: Josh Freeman, Jay Cutler

WR: Andre Johnson, Santonio Holmes, Robert Meachem, Jacoby Ford

RB: Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, Marshawn Lynch, Ladainian Tomlinson, Daniel Thomas

TE: Kellen Winslow, Marcedes Lewis

K: Neil Rackers

Def: San Francisco

I'm trying to pull off a trade of Holmes/Lynch for Vincent Jackson right now.

Why would you draft SF49 def? Also not really sold on Freeman and Cutlers not a Fantasy QB. Great WRs/RBs though.

Basically because they were the best left that I could afford. Looking back I should have tried to make the bid for matt ryan.

No way someone is going to accept that trade for Vincent Jackson. They would be getting your number 2 wr and number 3 rb for a number one quality receiver. I don't value Lynch that highly, and I think the Seahawks are garbage.

Now my trick on trades is that if you want a better position you have to give and take a little bit and I normally package two position players for 2 only position players where there is a little give and take. For example, If I was you I would do something like Holmes and Jamaal Charles for Ryan Matthews, and Miles Austin and maybe even backup qb like Orton. I would try to get Orton if I was you. But with that trade you are losing Charles who might have a little bit of down year because of harder schedule and because of the fact he can't take the entire rushing load, and you get a potential big play receiver and rb. Now it is a risk, but if you want to improve you sometimes have to take risks

If he drafted them in the second to last round and will be playing matchups. It's a good pickup. San Fran will be hosting Seattle. It should be a turnover battle.

It's auction.

His depth isn't too bad since he spent all his money on Jamaal and AP.

Anyways, I would try to find a better QB.

Yea. Usually a team that top heavy is a 'Stars and Scrubs' team except his scrubs are actually not scrubs at all. Good job on the auction.

Wow scary team. Idk how you have Charles and AP and Andre. You should win lol. Only place I would improve really is maybe TE. Freeman should also be good though.
