Exactly-
I watched the Falcons Squeelers game and agree the the black and yella team looked good.

Here comes the huge BUT-
In the preseason who knows what the Falcons were trying to do. They may have been trying different pass routes, timing patterns, and lord knows what else.
Meanwhile the Stealers seemed to be trying to play all out and make up for that Redskins beat down. They got their panties exposed on national TV and were pretty red faced about it. Watching the Eagles game they came screaming out of the gates and hitting harder than you normally see in pre season.

Anyone remember when the Skins went 4-0 and were anointed the SB champs before week 1. Think they went 7-9 after that.

Ravens will be fine- we will have a real strong showing in week 1 and it will be a slobber knocker as always.

Ravens by 7 at the end of the 4th!!

Think about how long the starters play in each preseason game. They play progressively longer, so is it by chance that the Steelers wins have become more impressive. No it's not, it means, the longer the Steelers starters play, the better the Steelers look.

And comparing the Steelers preseason to the Redskins or the Lions is ridiculous, the Steelers have a proven track record with this team, people aren't basing their success just off the preseason like it would be if you said the Skins looked like superbowl champs while looking so porous the previous year.

I'm not over-inflating what the Steelers have done these past two games, I'm just saying, at least don't completely downplay it.

Also, please don't assume the Steelers were going into their bag of tricks and giving away regular season plays just to win a preseason game. And if anything, it was the Falcons who looked like this was a regular season game, didn't roddy white have 8 catches?? That's pretty regular season if you ask me.

Pretty dang funny stuff there.

Besides as much as I dislike the steelers I would rather watch a fight till the end than a totally blow out. (cept in the play offs )

OK- Maybe you need to re read my very first statement:

"Exactly-
I watched the Falcons Squeelers game and agree the the black and yella team looked good."

Not arguing about if the Stealers looked good or played well, that was a given from the start.

However- I stand by my statement that pre-season wins mean nothing in regards to reg season games. How often did Atlanta make a line change? Throw in a new formation? Adjust with an audible that was new to the Offense? Try a new blitz package?

Squeelers got spanked by the Redskins and have been playing with more of a mid season demeanor. Your team met the Skins with a laid back attitude and got punched right in the nose by the little kid on the block. Since then your teams attitude and pace of play changed completely.

If you want sympathy for how great your team is maybe you should find a Squeelers board to post on. As long as you are posting on a Ravens forum don't expect every reply to be "Stealers are #1".

While their passing game looked good I did not think they were all that defensively. Their usually stellar pass rush did not record a single sack and though Ryan looked out of sync much of the time, he still managed 266 yds passing. As for the offense, it really isn't anything a good pass rush can't stop. Their rush attack left much to be desired. Mind you, I am only basing my observations off of the half that the starters played.

Bwaaahhaaahahahaa lmao!

I think the Steelers are going to be great this year and I'm not saying that because I'm a fan. My only concern, as usual, is the O-Line, but I think they may get stronger (barring injuries) as the year goes on.

I think we can still run the ball effectively and I'm beginning to think we have the best WR corps in the league. Who has a better starting 5? Plus, I think Crezdon Butler might contribute to the secondary a little more and that kid is good.

You'll have a better idea at the end of the season, who know if the young Preseason studs come to play in the regular season.
