Yeah, Alabama Rams has too much "rama lama ding dong" ring to it. That's no good. I'd throw Boise into the mix too, to help with that balancing of the world theory. Boise Jags. Boise Rams.

Yeah I know but again I think Oklahoma Rams sound much better.

IMO, the Jaguars. Simply because they've got a new owner and to me he seems like the "oil tycoon" type -- really no interest in football. I think he's just looking to sell the team off to L.A.

And now I know. -- Honestly, I have to agree with whoever posted it before -- how many teams does CA think they need? The NFL does not need another expansion team. 32 is the perfect number.

Maybe the Colts would like to move again... Too soon?

I still do not think that the city of San Diego will build a new football stadium and the CHARGERS will BOLT to L.A. It all seems so right....a new stadium being built right up the 5 Freeway.

There will be a team in LA, but which team is the question. There will be too much money generated by an LA team for it not to happen.

I've read that there are some complicated lease issues in Jacksonville so they are not likely leaving although they probably have the worst fan-base of any team in the NFL, and the Vikings are moving forward with their new stadium.

San Diego seems most likely to me. There are already a number of Chargers fans in LA, and Qualcomm is an awful stadium.

Oakland is also a strong possibility because of the fanbase and also stadium issues (the Coliseum is another horrible place to watch a game)

The OP's question was: SHOULD a team move to Los Angeles?

I say, NO, emphatically.

L.A. had 2 teams, and both moved because of lack of fan support. There are plenty of cities who might back an NFL franchise... why give L.A. another shot, when they've failed twice?

The tiny town of Green Bay supports a team, so arguments that the 2nd biggest U.S. city "deserves" a team is nonsense. It's not a matter of looking at franchises, like Minnesota or Jacksonville, that have stadium issues, and to threaten the city's residents with, "Build us a stadium, or we move."

In principle, I strongly disagree with this statement... but even if you do extort a city... the team shouldn't move to L.A. Try Norfolk, VA - the largest metropolitan area in the U.S. without a pro franchise (in the 4 major sports)...

Ok, convince the Redskins to move out of MD and re-name them the Norfolk Redskins. They already have Training Camp in VA so why not move the team to VA and build a brand new stadium, I'm sure Dan Snyder would love to actually use money right and build a new stadium for the Redskins. Then they can do something with FedEx field, I don't know what but maybe soccer or concerts.

Also is why I suggested Oklahoma or Alabama as well, both could handle Pro Football teams.

A good friend of mine has been on the season-ticket waiting list for the 'Skins for decades... Skins fans support their team, so I would never advocate moving them out of D.C. However... a team like Jacksonville, which only half fills its stadium on game days... sure. Oklahoma and Alabama would probably be great choices, 'cause they're rabid college football fanbases.

I just don't want L.A. to get a 3rd team, when places like Oklahoma haven't gotten consideration for one team...

It's about the money and there is far far more money to be made in LA than Oklahoma. There are a ton of football fans in the city as well so they will certainly support a team if one moved there. How can you say they shouldnt get a team because they couldnt keep one before when Baltimore was in the exact same position?

In my opinion, the Raiders are the best team to move (or return) to LA. There are so many reasons for them to go it's crazy. First of all, they used to be there. Second, San Fran has the Niners. Third, the Raiders fit the LA personality better. And finally the fourth reason is because Davis is dead, so I can easily see his son move the team south for money.

As for Alabama & Oklahoma, I could see either get a team. Between the two if I had to choose, it would always be Alabama. I am also not for the idea of expanding beyond 32 teams. Keep it simple and let it stay where it is, I say. I am a fan of moving a CA or FL team to another state, such as the Chargers or Jaguars. San Diego is very close to LA. Hell, they could put the LA stadium in Santa Ana somewhat in-between both cities if they so choose. CA does not need three NFL teams, and I don't think Florida does, either.

Los Angeles: Oakland Raiders return home a little south of LA to Santa Ana.
Alabama: Chargers or Jags could move to Alabama and give those people a team.

Alabama Chargers has a nice ring to it just like Oklahoma Rams have a nice ring to it. Those two make the most sense because they have the nice ring to it.

Well they could move to Norfolk, VA and keep the name Washington Redskins, I mean the Giants and Jets play in New Jersey yet they are called the New York Giants/ New York Jets. So I don't see the big deal in that, plus they get a brand new stadium to go along with it.

Wasnt the thunder moving to OKC a move that raised eyebrows because of a small market? Look how that turned out so far.. Normally the smaller markets, would be more passionate and dedicated if that team is what puts the city on the map so to speak

That move raised eyebrows because there was a passionate fanbase still in Seattle and the commish just looked the other way despite multiple attempts to keep the team.

I feel like they already have enough sports teams. The only teams I really ever see moving there are the Chargers or the Raiders, just because they are both in California. It'd be a close move.

Just like the New Jersey Nets did this year when they moved to Brooklyn. (NBA reference)
