Los Angeles (I've been there), one of the biggest cities in the USA has been without an NFL team for decades. But, the New York Giants, Minnessota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders (were in LA), and St. Louis Rams (were in LA) have reportetly shown interest. Personnely I think St. Louis should go back and break out those light blue and yellow uniforms. I don't know why they ever moved. Besides Super Bowl 34, the Rams have had no success in St. Louis. I think it would be best for the team and city to part ways. Who knows, maybe Cleveland (Browns) could move twice

The city of San Diego has not come out and said they would build a new stadium for the Chargers...A new stadium about an hour (three hours if you drive) up the freeway is a big carrot to dangle in front of them. As long as the Chargers are winning the fanbase will be there...Charger fan is growing in the region but Raider fan is still #1. I hope the Chargers stay in S.D. because it is a lot easier to get there than L.A.

I don't think the Bills would move there, although it has been reported that when their owner, Ralph Wilson, passes away that the team will be sold as part of his estate. It seems very unlikely that a local owner would want to keep the team in Buffalo. I think it was also rumoured that a Canadian telecommunications company would be interested in bringing the team to Toronto. They are the ones who own the Toronto Blue Jays and they paid the Bills in order for them to play 1 game a season annually in Toronto for 5 years or so. If anyone knows any more about this situation please feel free to add on to what I said.

I think it would be between the Chargers, Jags and Raiders as to which team will re-locate to LA. Btw why did the Rams have to move to St. Louis? That is a much smaller and less wealthy market.

I only went with no because the Jags weren't on the list. They just didn't seem to have the support there, but from what some talking heads would have you think they're not going to. That new stadium they're building is sure gonna be mighty tempting to some one though.

Nope.... Californie football fans are not exactly die-hard. The same problems will exist as where the teams are leaving from.
Most already have alligance to the 9ers,Chargers, Raiders...

And at least two of those teams prove your first point.

Moving one of the current Cali teams would make it easiest but the Bucs and the Jags should also merit consideration as they've had a lengthy run of blackouts I believe.

I believe the reasoning for the Rams leaving Southern California for St. Louis had to do with structural integrity of Anaheim Stadium following the Northridge quake of 1994.

Whatever team is moving, I hope it's not the Vikings. Los Angeles has enough stars in basketball. They don't need Adrian Peterson. I want LA to get the Cinnati Bengals because that's a broken franchise and everyone there would prove that LA doesn't deserve a team.

I cast my ballot as a "yes" vote, mostly because I don't want to see the NFL getting too big for its own good.

I dont think that it has much to do with how good a team is, just how good their market is. But do consider that a good team does bring a better market.

But the teams I could see moving are:
Jacksonville: I'm sure half of you wouldnt be able to say where Jacksonville is if they didnt have a football team, plus they arent the only football team in their state. I'm not even sure how they got a team in the first place.

Minnesota: Could be surprising for some people, considering Minnesota can support sports teams, but apparently they are having some problems with getting a new stadium and could force them to move.

San Diego: Won't be that far of a move for the team, and wouldn't really change the outlook of football. It would be accepted by the NFL because they divisions wouldnt have to change so that would be less change and problems on their part. They would also keep a majority of their fans, because LA is only about 100 miles away.

It's only a matter of time now... I can see the Vikings moving if they can't get a new stadium.

How true, FerrariFan - I can recall that the main reason for the construction of the Metrodome was due to threats by then-Vikings owner, the late Max Winter, that he would move his club to Los Angeles unless he got a domed stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

Looks like the Vikings are on their way to a new stadium in Minnesota so we can cross the Vikings off the list of teams that could move to LA. That now leaves... San Diego, Oakland, Jacksonville and St. Louis in the hunt for a LA Team.

Alot of people in LA simply watch the Chargers but the Jags seem like the best fit. They dont get much attendence in Jax probably cause most are Gators fans.

Jags aren't going anywhere, it seems they are staying in Jacksonville. San Diego on the other hand is the team to watch. In the beginning of 2012, the Chargers and the city of San Diego agreed that the Chargers would be playing in San Diego through the 2012 Season but wouldn't commit past it. The Chargers apparently can get out of their lease anytime before 2020. So if they want, they could commit to playing in San Diego until the LA stadium is built and move to LA then. The Rams are another team to watch, they are starting to battle with the city of St. Louis to get stadium upgrades and we all know how that will go, city will decline, Rams will then threaten to move to LA if they don't get what they want.

I'm going no.

I know that it's such a large market but being a NFC East / AFC North fan, I would still hate to see LA steal another team from Minnesota. They need the Vikings.

If my arm was in a bind, I think the Rams would be a great fit but I would be severely disappointed if I was a St. Louis Rams fan, not LA Rams fan.

Minnesota got a new deal and new lease for the Vikings that keep them in Minnesota for the next 30 years so the Vikings aren't going anywhere. Again, I'm thinking the Chargers or Rams will be the top contenders for moving to LA.

For the sake of balance it would be nice to see one of the many Eastern teams move West. Just look at a map of all football teams. It would also be nice for some of the non-football states to get into the mix, but L.A. fans suck and are already spoiled enough. Does every city in California need their own football team?

My hope would be the Redskins moving to somewhere in the Idaho/Montana region, bringing more cold-weather football to the league and kicking the very East-located Rams out of the West division.

Yeah I like to see other cities get involved. I think Alabama or Oklahoma should get in the mix in terms of having a Pro Football Team. Both have solid college fan bases and both would have instant fan support for a Pro NFL Team. Alabama Jaguars? Oklahoma Jaguars? Alabama Rams, Oklahoma Rams(that actually has a very nice ring to it).

Yeah, Alabama Rams has too much "rama lama ding dong" ring to it. That's no good. I'd throw Boise into the mix too, to help with that balancing of the world theory. Boise Jags. Boise Rams.
