First of all, in the COC, you cant talk about politics. Your comments were geared towards the decisions that have been made by our government and President in regards to outter space.

Secondly, I never once said we have "lack of funding" in my post. Go head' read again just incase you missed it the first time.

Thirdly, I said that we have yet to discover every measureable within our own planet. I love outerspace. Im completely fascinated by the Boomerang Nebula. However, I feel our ability to truly comprehend the occurances in outter space are hindered in our need of getting ahead of ourselves in terms of discovery. To put this in perspective, we have had more Moon Landings with Human Beings than we have had manned missions to the bottom of the Marianas Trench (the deepest of our Oceans).

Some may say that there is nothing to be offered by going to the bottom of the ocean in comparison to reaching into outter space...but we have a greater ability right now to explore our world fully than to get into outter space.

My belief is that our world has infinitely more resources and potential than we are making of it. Lets unlock as much as we can before drifting out to a place we cannot gain anything truly beneficial from[b] right now[/b]. Our reach is too short technologically as well. Its primitive in my mind to wait 12 years for a probe to get out to a planet. Technology isnt where we need it in my mind to where we should only have to wait 2- 24 hours for a probe to hit anywhere within our solar system.

Exactly. Space is so vast, I feel we will not accomplish any of the Hawkings or Einstein ideas for another 1000 years or so. That is if our race even makes it due to what you said, degredation of the planet. We as a race are too divided to accomplish much of anything that could truly benefit our society. Nothing is ever a gift to our race anymore. If mankind could discover a way to make limitless energy, guess what, some greedy company is going to buy the rights and destroy it or use it to line their own pockets. Greed is what is going to lead to the downfall of the human race. We see this illustrated within our monetary system. If you want to see something interesting, look up the Venus Project. The idea would never work, but its a hell of an idea.

A movie that may interest a few of you as well is called Pandorum. The back story on it is awesome!

If you see the movie, it tells you that the film was edited from 84 hours of footage pulled from lunartruth.com. And yes, you are probably right about that haha. Anyways, you all should still see it and form your own opinion. I thought it was pretty scary at points.

It's times like this where I wish we could discuss some things on this forum. I don't want to get the thread shut down but I'll just say that sometimes I really really wonder what information is being kept from us or has been kept from us in the past. And i hate that chances are Im going to die never knowing the answer to that question. I went back and looked at the video on youtube of that call from an area 51 worker to a radio show and it seems so legit that it is scary. The caller seems to have genuine fear in his voice. I would give anything to know some things. That's as much as I'll say.

When he says "...the disasters that are coming, the military, I am sorry, the government knows about them, and there's a lot of safe areas in this world that they could begin moving the population to now..."

That gives me the idea that the government is bracing itself for a full blown attack, and even though it happened in 1997, maybe we were able to reach some agreement with ET's. I know I'm sounding ridiculous, but it could happen. Perhaps 2012 is the launch date if ever an agreement went wrong, and the world knows it.

Also, earlier in the video, he calls the aliens "extra-dimensional beings". Love it!
