Steelers Starting Center Re-Injures Ankle

53 posts in this topic

Now, I know they got thru with a backup last year, but I believe for ONLY the superbowl. I think he was injured in the AFCCG. Not sure though. Anyways, this is good for the Ravens! Sad to see any singlular human being get hurt, but it helps our football team for sure.[url="http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/27/maurkice-pouncey-injures-his-left-ankle-again/"]

Also, their CB Keenan Lewis, who is on the verge of replacing Bryant McFadden as a starter, was taken to the dressing room with a knee injury.

The Football Gods are striking down the losing Super Bowl team for yet another year!! Long live that curse!! Except, lets all say a prayer if we ever go to the big game and lose it. Seems like every year, a team goes to the Super Bowl, they lose, and then the next year they stink it up.

Although on NFL network they said they are playing basically flawless football tonight vs Falcons. They said they are basically slinging it all over the field (although only 2TD 3rd QTR). He had two plays like the one that Webb got punked last year in playoffs. Egh.

I hope Evans gets that boot off before 9/11

I never broke a bone before but I'm pretty sure breaking a forearm really hurts hope he is ok.

Have broken numerous bones. Yep, it hurts. A lot.

Brown was scaring me going into this game. If I'm the Steelers. I'm trying to buy Ben enough time while Brown and Wallace run fly routes. Odds are one guy is going to get enough space.

I'm hating myself because in my FF draft, I took Sanders in a late round when I should of taken Brown last Monday.

Both Brown and Wallace are definite speedsters. One of them are going to get open. Provided the O line holds up which might not happen.

I can see Pouncey playing in Week 1 so not to worried but if he isn't able to play the Steelers offensive line gets much more weaker than it already is. Pittsburgh will regret not drafting Derek Sherrod.

Brown had one hell of a game. Dude is playing in the style of, and like a juiced up Santonio Holmes. Ben was throwing the ball almost 'at will' tonight...

But Mendenhall had 7 carries for a total 8 yds... lol.

Also, Troy is slow and has been limping on and off all night.

Lol. No he wasn't. Never saw anything, at any point, resembling a limp by Troy. In fact, he looks great

Looked good on a couple plays and not so good on a couple other plays. It's preseason.

I do see a similarity between Troy and Ed...both never quite achieving their full potential because of injuries. Obviously, both are still better than just about everyone else.

3 missed tackles, and got beat on the TD to White. Other than that never really heard his name. Wouldn't call that great.

On one play he appeared to be limping, after another he was clearly limping. Wasn't a continual thing but it was my Steeler fan BF who pointed it out to me. Will see if I can find the plays and post for you.

I beg to differ slightly, after he tackled Turner for a loss. Also, when he dove after Julio Jones and missed he was a little gimpy. When he missed a tackle (attempted to tackle high, guy ran through him ) on the big TE on the right sideline ( gain of like 20) he seemed to be stretching his leg out a bit after getting up.

I'm not saying hes hurt, but I did see some indications he was maybe cramping which isn't uncommon for the Preseason.
