I also saw this tweet. I hope it's nothing serious. We have been very fortunate to have no (significant) injuries as a team, other than Matt Birk.

I don't think its nothing serious. They said he was walking fine with the boot and besides we have like 2 weeks before the season starts so he have time to heal if needed.

Clearing it up, I've been reading posts on here for a few years and just never created an account. This is the only account I have related to an NFL team...Steelers have broken my heart with each victory over us, never associate me with them

I wouldn't worry too much about WR Lee Evans having his foot in a boot; if serious, I doubt #Ravens would let him stand on it at practice
....hope its nothing

there is some good news from practice, Birk is back and practicing with the 1st team offense, as is McKinnie and Yanda

Heck yes! Also note-worthy, McKinnie is at ~370lbs currently. Says he wants to play at 355.

I don't care if he's wearing a boot or not. If he wants to go on the field 9/11 I would take him wearing a boot over Torrey Smith without a boot. No offense to Torrey but he just needs some time.

Walking boot...that doesn't sound like "day to day".

It doesn't sound like anything too serious. Probably a minor sprain.

They probably want to make sure that he will be 100% come game 1

At least there's not really any pressure for him to see reps with the rest of the offense. The transition onto our offense has been very smooth for him.

Good news is, none of the starters will be playing in this final preseason game, so that's at least two weeks before he sees action again. That's two weeks of rest.

And yes, I almost had a heart attack too when I saw the tweet. lol.

I would hope that doesn't include the starters on the o-line and cbs. They still need some work.

I'd like to see a series with Joe under center and the starting O-line with our 2nd and 3rd receivers along with Allen as RB.

I agree all the CBs should get reps in there.

Yes, the starting OLine needs some work together to mesh. We don't want McKinnie first snap as a Raven to be when he first goes against James Harrison.

I imagine that Jimmy Smith would see some reps even though he's the favorite to start opposite Foxworth. Whether Foxworth starts Week 1 or not, he'll likely sit just as a precaution along with any backups likely to make the squad that have nagging injuries.

I can see the WRs still playing, minus Anquan Boldin and Lee Evans. That means Tandon Doss and Torrey Smith will still get a chance to compete for the #3 WR position even though both are locks to make the active roster because of their draft positioning. Doss could overtake Smith permanently for that #3 slot if he has a strong showing.

so has Cary Williams been dropped to a backup role already? I thought he was a potential starter and had been running with the 1s?

thats too bad, I think he's played better than Jimmy so far, Jimmy will be good but he's still learning, he says he didnt communicate well on the play he let the WR run past him for an easy TD...he needs to learn his assignments better, that CANNOT happen in the regular season against the Steelers
