SI Ranks NFL Owners. We're #13!!

And that **** of a writer was harping on Bisciotti for not being around the Ravens too often,

I say that's a GOOD thing

Leave it to Ozzie and the coaches to do their job, not the owner

Michael Silver needs to learn how a franchise is run.

Not bad???? 229031_confused2.gif That's an understatement!

Considering the Ravens' achievements since Bisciotti joined the team -- i.e. a playoff contender every season but one -- the rating is ridiculously low. Steve should rank in the top 3 to 5. Steve learned well during his apprenticeship as minority owner. He allows the outstanding Ravens front office to do its job -- great drafts, cleaned up the thug image, community affairs, etc. But he adds value when needed, particularly his outstanding handling of the 6-10 season aftermath.

Compare Steve to a few ranked higher:

2. Jerry Jones -- OK, he is getting the NFL's best new stadium built -- but his personal meddling has helped turn this once dominant franchise into mediocrity.

4. The Glazers -- gutted future draft stockpiles to get Gruden, who has proven to be only as magic as the quality of his players

5. Dan Snyder -- along with sidekick Vince Cerrato, Dan has helped turn the Redskins from another dominant team into a laughingstock. Ask the citizens of Frostburg, the Redskins secretaries and groundskeepers, or almost any Redskins fan what they think of Snyder. The only positive thing he has done as owner has been to retrofit escalators to the FedEx upper deck, improve the club section, and replace metal pipe rails with plexiglass

btw: this was an unecessary cheap shot by SI that adds nothing to the article:

The one thing he's not is overly present, instead preferring to spend the bulk of his time in South Florida working on his perpetually killer tan. When Bisciotti is in the state where the Ravens play, it's often because he's attending Maryland hoops games, another one of his passions.

Who cares where Steve spends his time? And we aren't in horse & buggy days -- he is always only a cell phone call, text message, or videoteleconference away. It's the result that counts -- and we Ravens fans have many good results under Bisciotti to be thankful for. Moreover, I'm a Terp graduate & fan too - what could possibly be wrong with Steve supporting the home state Division 1 school teams?

I may have read it differently but I swear he gave props to Bisc for having people like Newsome in place.

So forgive me but I don't see the comments as being as negative as others have suggested they may be.

Things could be a lot worse in Baltimore: Bisciotti is a relatively big spender and a smart manager. The football operations department is in great hands, with Ozzie Newsome, one of the league's best general managers, firmly in charge. Bisciotti also seemed to have successfully re-energized coach Brian Billick before the '06 season, one possible reason the team went 13-3 (before losing in the playoffs to Indy).

The guy who wrote this was probably on drugs...serious drugs. How he could have rated the midget that far above Bisciotti is otherwise a total mystery.

Seriously I can't stand it either that's why I stay away from their MB.... all they do is talk smack and think their right about everything football involved and if you try and give a diff opinion about something they all attack you.

I find it very funny they all think the Bengal's are so much of a better football team then the Raven's and they always try and supply proof to prove themselve's right.
