Bryant McKinnie To Ravens

This was my favorite comment I read about McKinnie signing with a team:
The hold up is McKinnie is requesting that he be paid his signing bonus in ones.
Nope, not worried at all about the C position, Birk will be back soon plus Bryan Mattison has played well

Hes just an older, slower version of Jared Gaither. But if he gets motivated, hes a beast man. He was dominating in 08 and 09. But hes been an idiot up to this point in his career. Hes been in like 3 different offseason fights since entering the league.

I suggested McKinnie weeks ago. Maybe first on this forum, and everyone laughed.
back then it wasnt reported the Ravens were showing interest

I still dont know what to think of him, he reported to camp out of shape...if that hasnt changed i dont see him being a Raven

BREAKING: Bryant McKinnie signs contract with the Baltimore Ravens. Terms are not know but expected to be one or two year deal.

I know he was looking for a 2.5/yr contract with a heavy incentives package so..

Yep, just saw on twitter that we signed him. I'm 'meh' on the signing. If he came in at almost 400 pounds, he's not going to be very good for us...

Interesting. Great talent there, it's the motivation and weight trouble that he needs to work on.

I don't know... I'm just not sure about this. I say just let Reid play RT and see what he can do. We won't learn anything if he is on the bench, so we need to see what we have in Reid.

Edit: He signs with us as I was typing this... let's hope he works out but I'm not sure if he could contribute, there had to be a reason why the Vikings let him go.

I was WAAAYYYY against this back when he was reported to be in about 400 lbs. There is no way hes close to that now since Ozzie and Co. have singed him. Very anxious to hear a new weight!!

I doubt Ozzie and Co. would sign a guy who was 400 lbs. and out of shape.... I bet he's motivated and ready to go.

You think Ozzie would sign someone if they couldn't pass a physical.

He has to be in better shape than he was or Oz wouldn't of even looked at him as an option. It was a gamble he had to take so we wouldn't have to see Cousins again. >_<

Ya I saw that this is reported to be done. That's odd that Oz would choose Mckinnie over Stinchcomb, but that says a lot.
Probably says something more about Stinchcomb's injury than anything else... I mean the Saints gave up on him already, so that definitely tells you something.

If he comes in determined to work hard and is in shape then I think our OL is pretty much set

Once Birk gets back healthy we'll be a pretty good OL, still are with Bryan as C...he's played well

i bet he's somewhere around 360 lbs otherwise Oz wouldn't have gone the trouble of even be interested. and in two mre weeks of camp he can still lose about 20 lbs. at 340 he'll be a heck of a back-up at LT and starter at RT

We were 2.5M uder the cap and signed two olinemen earlier this week. It has been reported that McKinnie wanted 2.5M plus incentives. If the Ravens signed him anywhere close to his asking price, they will be over the cap. I know if you go over the cap after a signing, you have 24 hours to get to or back under the cap. With that being said, who is set to be cut or traded? Carr or Foxworth to the Giants? What do you guys think? All in all another move will be made in the next 24 hours.
