Wait, you mean the Raiders over spent on a fast football player? That's just craziness!!! http://espn.go.com/n...aft-source-says

Raise your hand if you saw this coming from a mile away..... ok now raise your hand if you saw this coming from 100 miles away.. most predictable draft pick in a long time. Since they used a 3rd round pick on him, this means the Raiders have no 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks in the 2012 Draft. Oakland apparently has never heard of the term, "rebuild through the draft."

They'll be able to get it all back by trading the 1st overall pick next year to a team desperate for Luck.

There been any news yet on what they plan to do with Pryor? He seems to have the sort of skill set (Size/Speed/Athletic Freakishness) that they look for in multiple positions. I think they're definitely going to develop him as a Quarterback. I don't understand the numerous reports suggesting he switch to receiver. Has he even played there at all, ever?

I know he was the top ranked Quarterback when he left High School for College, so I'm guessing that he's never played receiver before in his life, or atleast the past decade or so.

This is a good pick for Oakland...if they were a track team & not a football team.

But they are a track team, just ask Al Davis.

I'm hearing the Raiders graded Pryor high on everything but the Quarterback position. I'm also hearing Pryor maybe converted to WR.

Pryor's being interviewed on MNF right now. He said he's excited to be mentored by Trent Edwards... and Kyle Boller.

I wonder what he scored on his Wonderlic test... ;)

Now that I think about it, this is a GREAT pick for the Raiders.

Why? Well although he is a bit of a project Pryor could eventually be a starting NFL QB, plus with his athletcism he could make the switch to TE or WR and be a productive player.

Yet, the biggest reason I think this is a great pick for the Raiders is because I think they would pick someone worse in next years draft.

I mean Pryor > Demarcus Van Dyke (This years 3rd round pick to the Raider's). Plus, if he does become a good NFL QB the Raiders could actually be a somewhat respectable team (not franchise, team).

I will say one thing and I know it's been said, but if he sits on the bench for a year or two, under Campbell, and considering how well Hue Jackson is at developing QBs, after a couple years Pryor could be a interesting prospect and a OK QB. Though I have heard Oakland wants to use him at WR, which I think could be a mistake. but if he is going to be developed as a QB, Oakland should use the next 2-3 years, the time it will take to develop Pryor to build a offensive line and get some good WRs and TEs.
