I thought it was clear that he's an ATL fan. Didn't he even say so at some point in time? Maybe Im thinking of someone else...
He says he's a Falcon fan all the time. I even posted a few times on the Falcons Message board and saw 'Finally' all over the place on there. He's like Warden, a good fan of an opposing team. Can't saw that about the Broncos fans.

Keep watching the same excitement Ray had on the sideline when Tyrod was in the game. You'll see that constantly. Its hard to hide how you really feel, especially when that player is outplaying his competition........(Scramblers get used to it. )
Ray had the same excitement when he thought Williams was going all the way for the TD. His excitement was for ALL the young guys to get their chance to shine. It was not just for Tyrod nor because he was outshining anyone.

Plus watch Ray after Flacco threw the TD pass to win the game in Pittsburgh. If he had a microphone in front of him, it would've been the same thing.

Doesn't his sig say he's a Falcons fan? That's how I always remember.
Well not if your one of the special ones that don't have sigs enabled.
if vick cant run hes no good....hes an ok passer but what makes him is the defense is always wondering is he going to run this play

and he cant do that against the steelers because troy or timmons would sniff that out and bring him down hard.....so after awhile he will stop trying and then its over for him...he will throw picks and we will win

accurate pocket quarterbacks beat us and joe is much better at that then vick
huh so throwing for 3000 yards 21
Are you sure you are not an Eagles fan? Wait. No. Many of them are not this sold on Vick either. I don't get "fans" like you who root for other players on other teams to do better.

Having lived with Vick as long as I did I would take Flacco in a heart beat over him. I really wanted Schaub to take over the starting spot.

All of that exciting play comes at a hefty price. Injuries, inconsistency, stupidity, and he is a trouble magnet.
I pull for players that are from my area that i have seen play or played with. No im not an eagles fan. !00 million disagrees with you. Vick's second contract of such..........im done

Wait are you an ATL fan? Cuz your post seems that way...
Most ATL fans that I've come across share your opinion on Vick vs Schaub. Looking back, I think that would have been the right move BUT you would have missed out on Ryan, who I think is already better than Schaub.
Yes. I agree that in the end we got the better qb but at the time many of us didn't believe that Vick would ever lead us to a sb.
I consider 'Finally' as our resident Falcons fan. Whenever a Matt Ryan vs. Flacco thread appears during the season, 'Finally' shows up out of the woodwork.
I don't like to participate in that particular debate anymore because I feel like it is Flacco and Ryan vs everyone else which is why I defend Flacco to your naysayers.

I do visit here more than any other non Falcons board. I sort of think of the Ravens as our AFC sister team.

My biggest concern is that Cam ran an End Around last week. I thought we would of banned that from the playbook and added in tons of slants, seams and crossing routes.

And does anybody think we have the most boring offense ever? We never have more than 3 receivers on the field at the same time

You might say that it's just preseason and that "we are going vanilla," but I look at all the other teams and their plays, and I think to myself "Why don't we ever do things like that?"

It's just the stupid I-Formation or Shotgun with 3 receivers, we don't see anything else different like the Packers with their 5 WR sets or things of that nature

Just boring old Cam

Don't let sum hear that, they have their Cam lunchbox's and bed sheets and it is blasphemy to say that he is boring or really anything that is not flattering.

I ardently agree with you we have such depth at receiver and we never use it. I gets to the point why we even carry more than 3 WR's the other are just on the bench to sit around and laugh and talk about how they are so excited to be a 4th WR and see the field twice..... a year.

Bumping this up. I was hoping Flacco's accuracy was an anomaly that would go away after the preseason, but apparently it's here to stay.

Interesting and troubling stat:

There are two qualifying quarterbacks in the NFL right now with a particularly nasty stat combo — less than 50 percent of their passes completed, and more than seven yards after catch per completion. That's bad news for the simple reason that when you're benefitting from that much YAC, you should be more efficient. The two players in question are Jacksonville rookie Blaine Gabbert(notes) (understandable), and … Baltimore Ravens veteran quarterback Joe Flacco(notes). And THAT's a problem. Flacco actually leads the league right now with an average of 7.12 yards after catch per completion, but he's completed just 49.3 percent of his passes (69 of 140). Granted, his average pass length this season has been above average at 10.11 — only Cam Newton's(notes) is higher — that YAC total, crossed with the completion percentage, has to give Flacco fans pause. He seems to have regressed this season.

This is why I hate my own Raven fans. Jumping the gun too freakin' quick for my taste. Check my man Flacco career stats and then get back to me. We still have 10 weeks of football to play and hopefully with all of the offense on the field. Chill out, hammer, Flacco's at work.

As far as his completion percentage goes, it seems like he is taking many more shots down the field. Even at the end of games. Also, he is on pace to throw 80 or more passes this year than last year. I wouldn't be 'concern'ed about this at this point. The team didn't have very much of an offseason, and Flacco has stayed in games where we were ahead by a large margin this year trying to build chemistry with new receivers and work on the long game. I have no doubt the completion percentage will round out as the year progresses and Flacco actually starts to have the chemistry he is building at the moment. WAYYYYYY too early to be worried about this stuff. And, who cares about the stat, it can be skewed by a number of factors, including the one I just outlined.. all that really matters is that we keep winning games.

I hope you're right, but I don't see anything wrong with saying the stat is troubling, because it is.
