Weird Weather?

10 posts in this topic

Most of you boys and girls live in Baltimore. Well up here the weather has been very different this year. It usually rains like twice a week and now it only rains like once every other week. Also we have had tornado warnings a lot which is not usual. Anyone else having weird weather stuff? Is this the because of the Earth heating up? I think our world is defiantly changing even if we are the problem or not. Thoughts?

Usually August is the hottest month of summer here in good ol south-central Pennsylvania. Not this year (at least so far) . July was our hottest month.

As I said to my mom the other day, "If day temps were 15 degrees cooler, this would feel like fall."

I think climate change has something to do with it. That may not be the only factor though,

Climate change (man-induced or not) is legit. The weather's been getting wacky these past few years - snowpocalypse, brutal summers, torrential rains followed by weeks of arid conditions. You name it.

Does this mean we'll become Waterworld? I must start gathering oil and find the man with the gill ears.

Sure, climate is changing, but look back at the history weather cycles/patterns. Weather cycles every 50-75 years. I believe we're going back to the old days of very snowy Winters/crazy Summers of the late 1800's and early 1900's. I know this for a fact because I follow the weather like a man on a mission, its my second hobby behind sports.

Yep. Climate is ever changing. And its still doing it now. One day we'll have another ice age. And humans will have to adapt, that is if we haven't killed off our own species before hand.

Now it's thundering. I'm going to guess that it's gonna rain hard in a couple of hours, with the extreme heat early on.

We got destroyed by one giant heat wave in mid-late July. It's like every year, some sort of record is broken down here in the DC area. We've gotten to the point that upper 80s to lower 90s with no humidity is being considered "comfortable."...lol

Days where the high is in the mid 80s with clear skies...those days are becoming more and more rare, hence more and more precious. Me personally, though, I don't mind the heat as much as most others.

The season that frustrates me the most is spring. Winter is winter....cold, dry, brisk, but it's accepted. Spring is so inconsistent. It can be in the mid 70s with clear skies in early March, but down to the lower 50s with cold rain in late April. It's difficult to fully get over and move past the cold weather that winter brings. Just when the weather is nice, it cools down again and stays there for weeks.

Fall, on the other hand, is beautiful. Lots of 60-80 degree days, lots of clear skies.
