What Team Do You Think Of.....

Hope everyone is getting amped up for the 2011 (Yes, I typed 2012 at first and got called out!) season, let's hope its a great one.

I just wanted to get an idea of everyone's perception in the NFL when it comes to particular team titles.

Reason I bring this up is because I agree that Flacco and Rice definitely don't get enough credit for what they bring to the table. I think part of the problem is they haven't made it to the SB but plenty of other stellar players never have so that shouldn't be the lone judgment. Also, when they joined the Ravens, its hard to shake the Ravens moto which has been defense first for how many years now, I digress.

Anyway, this is kind of like an ink blot test. Just name the team that first comes to mind and toss stats and logic out of the window. Maybe it will help show how media & fantasy shape our opinions more than we realize. And since we all are probably AFCN biased, if you choose an AFCN team, choose another team from outside the division.

Worst Team - Cardinals
Hardest Hitting Team - Steelers/
"Wussiest" Hitting Team - Seattle
Dirtiest Team - Raiders
Classiest Team - NO (Not sure)
Best Defense - Steelers/chargers
Best Offense - NO

I like your picks. I think us and the Steelers [i]do [/i]have the best defenses. Of course, Phillip Rivers and the Chargers will still pop up with a pretty good offense. And I absolutely hate the Pats being the best team, but sadly, that's just how it is.

Chargers are not overhyped. I think they're underhyped. They're not even in the top 10 in most ESPN rankings. People have the Jets, Colts, us, Steelers and Pats all ahead, along with a number of NFC teams.

Personally, I have a feeling they'll be [i]really[/i] dangerous this year.

Not to me. The Chargers are always expected to win the AFC West and take one of the top seeds. People also look at how they had such high-ranked offenses and defenses and say they are for real. Rivers is also making it into the "elite" conversation. But when you look at how pathetically easy the Chargers' '10 schedule was, it's pretty sad they couldn't make it to 1st. Not to mention they had an important win practically handed to them by facing the Chiefs when Cassel was out.

Pats the best team ? Remember, they haven't won a playoff game in 4 yrs (going on 5)... but they sure are hyped by the media as being the best. They usually squeeze out a good regular season record though.
