Week 15 - Baltimore Ravens At San Diego Chargers

2,189 posts in this topic

i am tired of seeing check downs to rice on offense. granted chargers were playing with a cushion most of the game and could drop guys in coverage, our #1 WR boldin does not get consistent separation like other #1 WRs

All that hard work for nothing. Yeah we beat the steelers twice, but it looks like they will still win the division. Doesn't make sense. If we beat you head to head twice then you shouldn't be able to win the division. So after all that work, we will still have to play on the road and still be the #5 seed.

One mess up game and that affects the whole season. No good.

Couldn't stop anything. Jimmy Smith was lit up, but Ray just wasn't there is pass coverage and their RB's shedded his attempted tackles. On the road in the playoffs? Doesn't look good. Jared Gaither looked solid and the ravens O-Line gave up 7 sacks.

I love Ray and can't say for sure, but did he look off tonight? I love to see 52 out there, but we did win the last 4 games without him and D played Solid in all those games including the LB's.

Too many issues to type out here. WOndering what Harbs will say about this crap

Harbaugh's going to go Roman, make everyone in the locker room pick stones, and whichever players pick the stones with the spot gets...dealt with

This is a serious question...I sat there watching the NBC dissecting the Chargers o-line and secondary all night long. Then, I would watch them carve up our guys EVERY TIME. What was going on? I can't believe that the Chargers OC was that good, he could outsmart our defense on every play...

Norv Turner's mind took Chuck Pagano's mind behind the bike shed.

when the blitz wasn't working, pagano should've just switched to a 4-man rush for the rest of the game because our secondary was getting picked apart

@Milton145,

Tyrod does not "stink". Flacco has taken more sacks than him. Get you facts straight!
You're logic is terrible. Flacco was in the whole game so of course he took more sacks *facepalm* Point I was trying to make is that for those begging for him to go in, it still didn't make a difference.

We were down 17+ for the entire game, use your head. You can't run the ball down 17+.

When you are down three score late in the third, you can't really go with the run. The defense did not keep us in the game tonight so we could run.
I know that. When we're down 3 scores, I get that we can't run. But when we're only down ten, and your workhorse doesn't touch the ball, then I get confused.

One of the plays that Flacco threw an interception on, Rice was open to his left for about a second(maybe 2). That was still enough time for him to give to Ray and get some yards out of it.
We needed to get the ball downfield. The defense put us in a position where we couldn't be patient and take those checkdowns and short outs. Time was not on our side, we needed too many scores. Flacco tried to make things happen and forced the ball when in a normal situation he would not have done that. Our WRs didn't get any separation at all tonight either. I can' fault Flacco on those INTs because I know where his mind was at that point.

Where are these people coming from? Flacco has taken more sacks? No spit, Sherlock. He's also taken 4000 times more snaps. Unreal.

Even worse, we may have just saved Norv's job. We got blown out AND may have screwed ourselves out of getting a competent OC. Blergh.

All right. Let's just hope 49ers beat the steelers tomor. If they can't I rather rest the starters unless steelers cough their last 2 games up. How you gonna expect Flacco to have a great night when they are dropping 8 guys for coverage. 4wrs-8cover guys. Other than the first int, it was not his fault. Boldin has to do better getting sepration. Guys, our receiver search is not over yet. Evans and boldin basically didn't do anything today.

I still am not sure why we let Gaither go, I am not trying to be funny, Ravens just never explained it well.
Those last couple years when he was could barely get on the field might have had something to do with it. Plus it was the end of his contract and Rosenhaus is his agent so they might have asked for too much.

He's also been cut by one or two teams this season alone.

The only positive out of this game is: Vonta Leach, Marshal Yanda, and Chuck Pagano not being a head coach next year.

Words cant explain how upset I am right now.

@WackoZacko, here is the lowdown:
New England(11-4) has Miami and Buffalo, Houston(10-4 has Indianapolis and Tennessee, Baltimore(10-4) has Cleveland at home and then going to Cincinnati, finally Pittsburgh(10-3) has St.Louis and Cleveland right after San Francisco.

Yeah the steelers will win tomorrow. They will win the division and we will be looking up to them again. This messed up our whole season. The system is messed up.

San Diego's coaches and game plan won tonite. Stifled Suggs, picked on the CBs who were horrible, and Rivers played an elite QB game -- he executed the plays.

Better coaches won tonite. Harbaugh, Cam, Pagano -- very very bad men.

What a shame with all the talent and opportunity squandered. I feel bad for the season ticket owners who won't get to see a home playoff game.

On the road again.

For defense, draft a linebacker next draft to be ray's successor. I hate to say this, ray is slowing down. He is GREAT in RUN. but BAD at PASS. Jimmy, you better not be over confident. You look like a undrafted free agent out there. Honestly, right now my dream about the best trio of our corners is shattered. Cary sucks today too. Suggs, you are not getting the mvp anymore. Please draft a safety too. Ed Reed didn't suck but he wasn't a factor at all. We need a fast cover guy.

@chilloutpeople- thats exactly what i'm saying! boldin is supposed to be our #1 guy! the guy is slow, can we say it already! he is slow as hell!! i mean, he is not a #1 WR, the only reason why he had so much success in arizona was because of fitzgerald. i dont see the inner beast in him like he had one time in the arizona game. draft another WR in the first or second round, i say

The Chargers are a good team so going on the road and losing to them would not have upset me that much if we would not have embarrassed ourselves tonight.
