Rice had just ten carries tonight. He was averaging 5.7 YPC, too.

You can't run Rice or do checkdowns and short outs when you are down by 3 scores. Not if you want any chance of winning. It is just the way it works. It is why Flacco had those INTs. Because we couldn't play our game because our defense couldn't get their offense off the field. It isn't that hard to understand.

terrible game, its a shame i had to stay up to watch this pathetic effort. everybody was at fault today- flacco, what the heck are u thinking at times?? i mean the two picks were terrible! WRs- get some damn separation, boldin, our #1 WR consistently fails to get separation smh. i have to say it, the guy is not a #1 WR. and worst of all, our defense, huge disappointment. and this has to fall on pagano's shoulders as well. blitzing has worked for us this year but when we are outmanned on the outside like how we were today, rivers will pick our defense apart like how he did today when we blitz. cary williams- dismal game and jimmy smith, consider this ur wake up call, buddy.

The defense (1) Bad play calling all around. (2) Jimmy needs more time. We cannot win with him in, because now the Qb's that our playoff caliber teams are going to be looking to pick on him.

One quote I liked tonight from the commentators: "The ravens had one big goal this season and that was to beat Pittsburgh...and they DID! That was their hump. They beat them in Baltimore then in Pittsburgh. That was there hump and they got over it...now all of sudden here comes Pittsburgh again."

So freakin' sad to hear. And it just makes your stomach churn.

I know it, man. I live in Steelers country and believe me, it gets old. I have to gird my loins for work tomorrow. lol.

When you are down three score late in the third, you can't really go with the run. The defense did not keep us in the game tonight so we could run.

We were down 17+ for the entire game, use your head. You can't run the ball down 17+.

I just don't understand why he gets taken out of the gameplan when we're only down 10 points. 3 scores, I can understand, but if he's featured beforehand, then we might not get put in that position so easily.

guess this means big jen will be giving it a go tomorrow night...one can only hope they lose so we still have a fighting chance. The browns and rams wont be doing us any favors. I hate when we cant just take care of our own damn business...

I feel for you man. I live in Steelers country too. But hey, don't let them get you tomorrow. They still have to win vs the 49ers and they have a lot of injuries going into that game.

John had better get on the road and spend most of the next 24 hours with his brother telling him exactly how the Steelers work.
[/quote]

He'll be too busy figuring out why we sucked so hard today.

One of the plays that Flacco threw an interception on, Rice was open to his left for about a second(maybe 2). That was still enough time for him to give to Ray and get some yards out of it.

Couldn't stop anything. Jimmy Smith was lit up, but Ray just wasn't there is pass coverage and their RB's shedded his attempted tackles. On the road in the playoffs? Doesn't look good. Jared Gaither looked solid and the ravens O-Line gave up 7 sacks.

I love Ray and can't say for sure, but did he look off tonight? I love to see 52 out there, but we did win the last 4 games without him and D played Solid in all those games including the LB's.

Too many issues to type out here. WOndering what Harbs will say about this crap

This is a serious question...I sat there watching the NBC guys dissecting the Chargers o-line and secondary all night long. Then, I would watch SD carve up our guys EVERY TIME. What was going on? I can't believe that the Chargers OC was that good, he could outsmart our defense on every play...

The thing that really pisses me off about this is all the freakin steeler fans that will harrass me.

The next thing is all of the cusp pro bowlers wont make the pro bowl now. This is just one freaked up night. I need a drink

Norv Turner is that good of an OC, one of the best offensive minds in the game--not so good as a head coach

Pray the Steelers drop one.
