Was looking at the Playoff Standings... how come the Bengals are in first place and we are in second??? ESPN says this on why Bengals are AFC North Champs:

AFC North Champ (Wins tie break over Baltimore based on best win percentage in common games.)

Now isn't Ties within Divisions first broke based on how many games you won in your division. Ravens are 2-0, Bengals are 1-0. Shouldn't we be in first because of the better Division Record???
yeah, were in first place...but it doesn't matter bc we've only played eight games....

Just curious, how do you watch the after-game interviews? I'm in Canada so as soon as game is over it ends for me. I also have league pass and that ends right away. Is there somewhere to watch them?

great final drive by the offense. I knew joe had to have one of these games to put down the naysayers. he was tremendous tonight and he looked poised always even after harrison went on his rampage. once again a strong game for boldin and boy, pitta was a lifesaver! Despite allowing the TD, Cary Williams did good on wallace (that was his only catch i think). The defense came up with the stop to give our offense one last shot not that i expected anything else. must be a great scene in that locker room now!

Man, I'm at a loss of words.. 20 minutes after and I'm still speechless. Such a clutch 92-yard drive by Joe Cool and the O!

This thing is FAR from over as we have yet to play the Browns and Bengals but we have made a step in the right direction and more importantly, gained all the momentum and confidence in the world.

I'd like to call out the morons that left in the middle of the game when the tide seemed to turn and the Steelers got ahead. You guys had better not show up for next week's game or ever again as you're only jumping the bandwagon and leaving it as soon as it seems to lose its appeal. Stay off, we don't need fans like you.

As for the Flacco haters... well, some things don't change so I'll see you next week ;)

@1/28/01 a nay sayer? nah, im a critic. You cant tell me you didnt lose faith in flacco through these 3&a half years. It happens you get blitzed at a bar watchin the games like jacksonville and such where flacco and co. dont play up to par and you question whether they can lead this team to the superbowl, which is the ultimate goal. I will always be a ravens fan, even an orioles fan as bad as they are, but EVERYONE changes how they feel about there Qb, saints fans did a ton last week, chargers fans are questioning phillip rivers. and occasionally i question some players on the ravens.
No, I haven't...go check my 9,000 posts and you'll see that I have ALWAYS beleieved in Flacco. Go back and read what you posted, how you posted and what you copied of the other 6 or so disgruntled fans around here. To critique is one thing....

Well technically we are not, Bengals are ahead of us and are leading the AFC North despite us having a better Division Record. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact we haven't played the Bengals yet.

It could also be the fact that the Bengals haven't played anyone yet. The best team they've played in San Francisco, and they lost that game. I believe we are tied with Cinci though, not behind them.

Anyone know what's up with ESPN's box score? Their stats are all off (giving Steelers yards they didn't get) and they still haven't recorded the Ravens' last TD. Maybe they're still in disbelief:

@1/28/01 ok pal say what you want I am not a disgruntled fan or whatever you claim. You can think your a perfect fan or whatever, and i know what i posted i was hating on flacco after the jacksonville game and some last week as well. There were thousands of fans it seemed after that game and i was a a damn tavern in york PA and people left the bar and a couple people threw there flacco jerseys in the dumpster. Tons of people were hatin on flacco, so dont just try and single me out. And i said and i quote "Flacco making a comeback against a terrible cardinals D is one thing, but if they beat the steelers next week we will see flaccos true colors". And who knows mabey flacco will suck for the rest of the year, hopefully he keeps playing consistent which was the factor he has been lacking his whole career which is another reason its hard for people to have faith in him. And idc its a team effort, ray rice is a tank our defense has been stout and iu have always stood by them, never doubted them in my life. But flacco still has to work on some stuff but hes definitely improving this year

Bengals already played Cleveland and beat them. They are 1-0 in the division while we are 2-0, something doesn't add up. I know Division ties are broken through the amount of Divisional wins you have BEFORE it goes to common opponents and its reverting to common opponents for why the Bengals would be AFC North Champs and not division record which would put us in first. All well, all we need is Pittsburgh to bounce back and beat the Bengals while we beat the Seahawks and everything will be good.

If the season ended today we would be the division winners. Based on these official tie breakers:

Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).

Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
We are 2-0 in the division with the Bengals at 1-0. All the websites will update in the morning to reflect this.

My friend who's a Steeler fan shared a game pic on Facebook, and it's funny reading all the Steeler fans' comments about the refs favoring us and that they'll rip our hearts out at M&T in the playoffs.

Yeh, I noticed. I'm never going to forget the look of the Steelers fans a couple of years ago when Housh caught that game winning TD at Heinz. Bunch of lurches.

that was definetly last season not years ago

Just like last time!

Funny how coming into the game all the Steeler boards were making fun of Ravens fans for complaining about the refs. I still didn't see any points taken off the Steelers' score because of a phantom hold!

@1/28/01 i totally understand where your coming from i was really questioning flacco this year i never really did before this yr but there comes a point in time where you have to question the qb,whether he can be a leader and get you to the big dance. and i know some was camerons and the receivers fault but flacco was just playin so inconsistent this year and i just started losin it. but he played a hell of a game tonight lets just hope he continues to play well

When you are out of the country and staying up at 4 in the morning to follow this game, it is really really hard to go through the emotional trauma of a Balt/Pitt game!

Man I had 4 websites up, was listening to streaming audio from Br.com and reading twitter feeds - all on a delay and it was excruciating the last few mins after the Steelers led 20-16.

I am so happy that we won, it is indescribable! The joy I feel and the pride I feel right now is overwhelming! Go RAVENS!!!!!

Regardless, next week the Steelers and Bengals play each other. That means a guaranteed loss among our division rivals!
