Week 7 - Baltimore Ravens At Jacksonville Jaguars

I hate to admit it but our headcoach and QB is very overrated, I love Big play Ray Lewis, but our head coach shoud be our teams movatior, why not sit Flaco down for a play or two all you can do is lose and we did, I have no faith in our coach or QB, we have not really looked sharp or consistent yet. We need to shake up our team starting with the QB, than the coach are they untouchable?

Besides the one that he did against pitt without that guy that wears 43 (should not be named) who was the other 3?

Hold on folks!
(1.) The DEFENSE played lights out! The Jags only scored because of a phenomenal night by a kicker...that's it.
(2.) Joe only made one MAJOR mistake, which was the interception...which could've been easily forgiven had it happened earlier in the game. He had a few dropped passes that were on the money and he had to force everything else ALL NIGHT LONG because of lack-of-time (due to the offensive line) or lack-of-separation (by the receivers from the db's). I'm not a Flacco-homer, but don't put more on him than he deserves tonight.
(3.) Ray Rice wanted NOTHING to do with this game after those fumbles. Jones-Drew was fumbling (and their offense was playing bad) because we were knocking their block off! Rice was fumbling (and our offense was playing bad) because of "US".

We'll be alright. We didn't make a bunch of mistakes - Jags just had the offense's number.
1. The Jags have the worst offense in the NFL. We missed tackles all night long. Our defensive performance vs a team with an actual offense would have resulted in us losing by 30 some odd points.
2. I agree here. He had the late INT and he did miss one open receiver, which I forgave him for since he was surrounded by big guys wearing blue at the time and trying to step up to throw.
3. I'm confused what you mean here. Rice came back in and had some really good plays later on though I agree he had an off night as well.

Agreed on number 1, even with stupid penalties they really played like the usual ravens defense. On number 2 it's not about not making too many mistakes this and that. We all have some idea what goes on when watching a football game. Some things happen good or bad on any given day. People say this a lot, "that is why we play the game". I'm sure all of us get that and we as ravens fans probably "feel" like we need to win every game but we all "know" that is not going to happen. What most people get frustrated and disappoint (correct me if I'm wrong) is that at the end of the game with what ever has happened and when you have a chance to win the game, why the freak NOT hurry up the offense more. You can tell a lot by what a teams mentality is or what they are trying to do just by watching them not do ANYTHING!!! meaning when they were in their hurry up offense. That was no hurry up offense, people didn't have an urgency, you can see that by the tempo during the game. Have you ever seen any team with a decent QB do a hurry up offense like that? I really can't think of one. Our team just takes too long to get to the line and get a play off. That really frustrates me and i'm sure a lot of ya'll feel the same way.

Our defense played phenomenal for being on the field most of the game. Jag's 3rd down efficiency was worse than ours and you all saw how terribly out of sync our offense was tonight. Granted the jags have a good defense, but we beat ourselves tonight. I don't know where the changes need to be made, but I sure didn't like the lethargic tempo we had on our scoring drive.

OK...so now what?
Well, normally I'd say we'll regroup and come back strong next week. Normally. This disturbs me though because for an entire team with this much talent to play this poorly well, it is definitely a coaching issue.

Great game tonight Ravens fans. I really didn't think my Jags had the chance tonight. But they did what I said they would have to do to win, which was slow down Ray Rice, which they did. I had a blast at the game.

I'm baffled how Flacco could play this bad after three years and in a contract year no less.....not sure what it means but I don't like it period.

This IS just one game, but people were listing their errors, well here are mine:

1) Coaching. We had plenty of time before half to put up a decent drive that would net at least 3 points, but tick tick tick...there was NO sense of urgency. Not to mention the numerous times we couldn't get out of the huddle and lined up within 40 seconds because playcalling wasn't getting in. I thought our organization wanted Joe to have more freedom in this offense; give it to him, let him create the 2 minute offense on the fly. As far as the onside kick goes, it was so close, so I can't really be angry at that. But kicking it out of the endzone would've been the better decision.

2) Offensive line play: Horrendous. Bryant McKinnie is showing no passion or ability to play left tackle at ALL. What we thought was an offseason steal may be turning into exactly what Vikings fans were so happy to get rid of. Gurode is not a capable LG. Even Ray Rice in pass protection wasn't initiating contact, rather he let the defender run into him and topple him over. Speaking of which...

3) Ray Rice. Yikes. If you say you want to come out and outperform MJD, do it. MJD fumbled 3 times (!) but kept plugging away, and ended up with 100+ yards rushing. Rice fumbles once and is just completely unfocused the rest of the game. You are our star player, play like it.

4) Defense played great, nothing else need be said. There's only so much they can do.

5) Wide Receivers. Ugh. No separation. I liked what I saw towards the end of the game especially out of Torrey, making some tough catches. But all in all, a terrible outing. Boldin needs to be able to get more separation.

6) Refs. Bear with me, I know we have no control over this. But there was a clear discrepancy in calls. Especially considering that Rashean Mathis was getting away with PI's all night, as well as the terrible call on Pollard's hit. That needs to be looked into by the NFL, absolutely disgraceful outing by the zebras

offensive 'coordination' was a joke. the offense was in shambles and that is a coaching issue. too many issue to point just at the players. offensive line - fail. qb - fail. even beloved ray rice - fail. combined that equals CAM - FAIL.

G'day guys,

As a Jaguars fan (although the Ravens are my second team) I would like to thank you for an absolute ripper of a game (albeit dour) and wish you the best of luck in your quest for the AFC North crown, because I, like you, cannot stand the Steelers.

I also found it quite ironic that your evalution of the game is almost exactly like the complaints us Jags fans have every week; feeble offense, bad coaching and the odd referee mistake, which is a shame because the D played great, although your problems are a bit more temporary than ours :(

Good luck for the rest of the season guys, I've still got you pencilled in for the Superbowl.

FIRE CAM CAMERON!!!!! how does Ray Rice end up with only 6 carries????? I don't get it, they were blitzing the crap out of us and we are running 4 recievers??? This is not rocket science, it's very basic in fact, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN. You have got to set the pass up with a successful run game. And stop throwing the ball to Leach, he is a bulldozer and Cam wants to make him a reciever. Oh m gosh he is such an idiot, I HATE CAM CAMERON, i hate him i hate him i hate him. Please get rid of this moron, send him back to Miami, they are in the market for a new head coach. Let Harbaugh do the play calling, this is so retarded. Fire Cam Cameron, his play calling is so STUPID. If not fire him, at the very least take him out of the play calling equation. How can this guy make the same mistake, over and over and over and over and over and o ver and over and over and over and over and over again???? I don't want to hear crap about the O-Line neither, the Jags were bringing in 7 and 8 guys, they constantly and 1 more blitzer than we had blocker. Go coach college football cam, you will be successful there, absolutely NONE of the Ravens Success over the years falls on your shoulders! professionally you suk!

The defense was stellar as always and only because the Jags kicker had a horse shoe deeply in place scored 12 points. As far as Flacco, Cameron and Harbaugh they should be sleeping on the hard cold floor of the castle until they decide to utilize Ray Rice, get the receivers to load up zones and create some picks and crossing patterns. Or better than that, build a time machine, go back to when Flacco's parents were dating and keep them from having sex.
MNF showed Joe's rating for all to see and they were all below average across the board for the league.

As if he was given enough runs and proper setups to do so.

Cameron has been running this offense far too long. ANd by now, people sart realizing that all he does is "1st inside-run, 2nd outside-run, 3rd outside-cut-throw".

Doesn't matter if we line up with 2-2 receiver sets or 3-1 ... both outer receivers will run cut-routes. Watch yesterdays tape. It's just pathetic. Cemeron should go back to failing in College Football, but right now he's dragging down a team, that may have potential for more than "just" the Post-Season.

That game confused me. I mean, it "looked" like the Ravens but it didn't play like the Ravens. I think the Seahawks sneaked in disguised and the Ravens offense...that my only explanation for what I witnessed. Truly baffling.

Definitley a horribe game from the offense. The line played terrible. Joe had no time to throw. I know we always blame our team but I really need to tip my hat to the Jags defensive backfield. We may never see another game ever that played man to man as well as the Jags did last night. Still only two losses but
it means we will have to beat the Steelers in two weeks.

i was in jacksonville for what was my first ever ravens game and on my birthday too! those jaguars fans in my face...and it just got worse and worse every mistake we made or every big play their defense made. there was also a couple of really terrible calls i saw just feet from my face...idk what the heck the refs were thinking....and lets not forget the no first down situation and missed field goal. oh well, there was a LOT of raven support in the stands however, so i wasn't alone in florida...i just wanted to see my team play like my team...that was slightly disappointing. and flacco seemed extremely rushed in the pocket, more so in person than ever on tv, so idk if the o-line was stuggling, their pass rush was on fire, or if my perception of close up football is that much different than the real thing. by the end of the game jax fans were literally cheering in my face as i left everbank field. embarrassing and annoying but i'd rather be a raven fan any day of the week than a jax (or any other team) fan when they win. enjoyed my first game and looking forward to seeing balt at home next year. in the playoffs...
