Week 4 - Baltimore Ravens Vs. New York Jets

My opinion defense so far this year has been doing an awesome job. Offense still needs work, they'll figure it out. Go Ravens!!!!

I was glad to see Mase break that run after the catch.... the dude is still pretty slippery you have to hand it to him.

Joe's stats didnt tell the story atleast 8 of those incompletions were him throwing the ball away (and thats way beeter than taking a sack... am i right?) and he had a few go through the recievers hands. The pick and the fumble were bad but those can be fixed.

The D just put a stranglehold on the Jets.... That was AWESOME to see! It reminded me of our team from the early 2000's.

Ravens D on my fantasy team = woo

Flacco on my fantasy team = oh no

This game should have been 34-7 if those two turnovers didn't happen. (And they shouldn't have) They were both preventable by Flacco.

So now that THAT's over, I took a look at the upcoming game schedule...after the Texans at home, it should be smooth sailing, apart from the trip to Pittsburgh (But that just means we have to travel a little to embarrass them)

Geez the Sunday Night crew Collinsworthless and Michaels are horrible. All they could talk about was Jets, Jets, Jets. According to those two dips, the Ravens didn't win -- the Jets lost because their one guy was out. Boo hoo.

Real story is the defense kicked aaaaaaaaaaa! Gotta Love Ray!

Flacco had a really bad night. Not ready to give up on #5 though. Even the Second Coming Sanchez looked horrible.

Steelers lose. Ravens win. Cup half full -- lighting up a Padron babeeeeee!

Thanks Flacco you got me -1.78 points in Fantasy. Offense just had an off day, but I didn't expect we'd come out throwing all over them, even though the refs missed a lot of pass interference calls. If Joe had been on target, Torrey Smith would have at least had one TD. But even though I lost in fantasy league, I'm still very happy. Steelers got stomped and we're leading the AFC North. Oh by the way, I think it's safe to say Pagano will sleep alot better tonight. Holmes got nothing as expected. Way to go Defense.

Flacco definitely didn't have his best game but that pick wasn't really his fault. There was definitely some miscommunication between him and Rice. It looked like Ray was going to keep running across the field but he all of a sudden stopped right when Joe threw it.

I was really impressed with the play of our corners...even when the jets did catch the ball the corners were all over them.

Cant wait for the Texans game and for Jimmy Smith, Ben Grubbs, and Lee Evans to come back!!!

Oh yeah I forgot to ask: Did anybody notice Dustin Keller go down that one play late in the game when he saw Ray Lewis?

gota say im not impressed with the offensive performance of our team tonight. I cant complain too much tho because we did get the W and our defense played better than ever lewis and company had sanchez shaking in his boots the whole game. Very proud of our cornerbacks they held it down against some marquee receivers and give credit to the d line for that... and im starting to see the potential from all of our younger guys im liking where this team is headed but enough of all the compliments time for me to vent a lil... If we intend on being a superbowl contender we have to get our redzone percentage up im tired of field goals its very frustrating i mean theyre better than nothing but come on when we start playing some of the better offensive teams such as new england and greenbay were gona be in trouble if we just expect our d to play cleanup all the time... we need a balance between the offensive side and defensive side... not throwing stones at flacco or being a flacco hater i like the guy alot hes brought alot to the table but im tired of the inconsistencies such as overthrowing recievers that are clearly completable passes and y cant our recievers ever seem to get separation from the dbs flacco has the protection now but he cant ever seem to find anybody to throw it 2... all i know is if our defense even played mediocre tonight it would've been a closer game or even a possible loss for us... these passing teams are scoring at will when they get into the redzone and we need to have the same discipline to even think about winning a superbowl... maybe its camerons fault for running the simplest passing plays that can be read from a mile away but i dont want to get into that... im glad that he started passing alot more and that we picked up the recievers in the offseason but we need to utilize them now and be more creative on the offensive side... well thats all for now and congrats to torrey smith on last weeks game, very excited for him and our team and hes gona continue to get better years to come has the hands, speed, body control and discipline to be a great receiver... by the way im not trying to be an analyst because im certainly not i just love the sport.. GO RAVENS!!!! looking forward to having evans and smith back for Houston

i read like the first two lines and god, just be happy we came out with a win... the jets are good, they have a great defense, of course we won't kill them on offense.

Defense = yea!!!!!!

Offense = 2 thumbs down and needs major rework
Seriously??? And how would a "major rework" happen, hm?

Although the offense was very sloppy.... the defense was IMMACULATE. I am glad we have this bye week to rest up, work on the offense, and come back with renewed energy.

It wasn't pretty, but we hung in there.. and walked away with the win (that's what matters).

I live in NYC now, so it was also very fun to see all the 'green' jerseys give me nasty looks before they left the bar crying lol

There are going to be times when your offense doesn't show up... Against a Defense like the Jets, you're usually not going to be at your best, offensively. They will get back on track. Flacco has 1 guy on offense ( from WR's and TE's, not counting Rice) that has more then 3 years experience and thats Anquan. When Evans and GRUBBS come back, we will see major improvements.
