Dude, seriously..get over it. You don't KNOW he's our top corner because HE'S NEVER PLAYED CORNER IN THE NFL! NOT ONE SNAP! Obviously we all hope Jimmy can be that guy one day. That doesn't mean that an NFL caliber coach is going to forgo decades in regular goings-on to 'spare' an NFL player from doing what he needs to do to benefit the team. Obviously that's why he was put onto the special teams, and the fact that he got hurt doesn't negate that. God, I'm tired of hearing this.

I understand the whole rookie CB thing. I still hate the decision though, I think it was dumb but I can understand that. now I am not saying it is dumb just because of how it turned out (although it definitely does not help), but because of something I have heard all the time on these boards.

Everyone says that ACL's are major and take a long time to recover, well if some fans know that, shouldnt the coaches. And especially considering the short offseason, and they got to see him at camp. That is a true C'mon man. Unless Fox showed something in the practice's we did not see....like being able to cover than there is no way you put Jimmy in there. You have your supposed best corner (not even close imo) nursing an injury, an unproven Cary Williams, a consistent but diminutive CB, and then Webb who has been struck by injury and kinked his learning curve, outside of that what are your options.

I think it was a dumb call all the way through considering we have many other people that could have done the job more than sufficiently.

I think the kid is overrated, but he shows up in big games. He can exploit the mismatches if he gets time, and his WRs will make the plays for him.
