Week 2 - Baltimore Ravens At Tennessee Titans

2,074 posts in this topic

I guess the normal progression for a team who is learning to beat their division rival is to also learn not to go into the next opponent thinking they gonna lay down. This loss is 100% coaching, which is mind blowing considering we are talking about professional players...

How come I didn't see Pollard until the last minute of the game?
because zibby is better in coverage and tenn couldnt run at all anyway

and he played some throughout

No doubt zibbys better in coverage. Just so frustrated we couldn't generate any pressure on the qb.

Was nice to see us stop the run but we got abused against the pass. Here's hoping for some major adjustments next week.

We needed this beat down because the ravens need to realize that the steelers aren't the only team in the NFL. We got so pumped about beating the steelers we forgot that there is 15 other teams we have to play.

I'm very surprised, 9 out of 10 in my pick em league so far. Of the 15 players who made their picks this week, 14 picked Baltimore to win so we all blew that pick *grrrrr*

Jets won, Rex knows how to get his team ready!!!!! All of you people out there saying it's only one game......there's only 14 games left people. This isn't baseball, we don't have alot of games to play catch up when behind.

Oh great! I saw cody shaking his head on the sideline like he was getting rid of some circling birdies.
Hope they are both OK. We need em'!

Not necessarily. He exudes quiet confidence. Boldin is more the vocal leader of the offense and we have seen it before. Flacco has still shown he can be successful even with his style of leadership

what sucess are you talkin about?

making it to the playoffs 3 years in a row is success.. having a new head coach and new qb go 33-17 so far over their career is success.. thank you now chew on a "cpuule" of those facts that i have given you

even if you had megatron and andre johnson on this team, flacco still couldnt get them the ball... man you wacko for flackos are weird ravens fans. to be a raven fan means you better get someone's jersey thats on the defensive side of the ball, im surprised ray rice has exiled himself onto that side of the ball.

It takes both sides of the ball to win a game. Neither side played with much emotion today.

I love it!! One loss on the second game of the season and the fair-weather fans light up the message boards. So sad! Step back from the ledge and turn in your jerseys! You don't deserve them!

Am I mad that we lost the game? Absolutely, especially to a team like the Titans! But you know what? Stuff happens!!

We got a little too cocky from our win last week win over the Squealers. Our heads got a little too big! and we didn't come in and give the Titans any kind of respect. The Titans had a chip on their shoulders all week, that they have apparently been carrying around since 2008 and they used it against us simple as that.

We need to learn from this loss and not repeat the same mistakes next week and throughout the season! Let's go Ravens!

our offense was basically Rice, Boldin, and Flacco all day.....thats not good enough man...and for some reason we dont use David Reed on offense at all..i mean i see your point of view, but today looked like last years Joe Flacco...i want to see him go harder and feed off of the defense....for example whe T-Sizzle got the early interception, Flacco came out and gave it right back and threw a pick, or went 3 and out...quiet confidence got us behind 20-10 in the 3rd quarter....the defense sucked too...missed tackles, weak corners, everything....just a overall disappointing game
quiet confidence didnt get us behind, it was a product of great coverage and pass rush by Titans as well as Flacco making some poor decisions. But if he yells it doesnt give us an extra 3 points. We just didn't take this game seriously at all, thats all that can be said. And all you need to do is look at last year Week 1 and Week 2. Emotional win over Jets Week 1, then the entire week the team is saying Oh there will be no letdown, and then 4 picks later we lose to Bengals Week 2. Flacco may not be the vocal leader, but it's evident that in practice he should lead more by example, same with Boldin and Rice, and they should ensure no letdown. The defense early on was strong, but true to form, the offense was bad and the D got tired quickly. Im telling you guys now, next week at STL will be no pushover. Bradford has the potential to rip us up too

im here.. and im the one actually using my brain noticing that tenn came to play today.

how bout this drive eh? just give it some time

So what excuse do you have now, people wanted to point fingers last week because cam called ONE good game and now we look like crap. And Duh they came to play they are a professional team are they not. I know its easy to look at things in hind sight, but uh yeah that drive didnt turn out great did it. I think I will just let this game speak for itself, if you want to make excuses fine but to not realize that our offensive play calling this week sucked is ridiculous.

This is a bit disturbing to me. During training camp, I thought this team would be inferior to last year's, but I thought their easy schedule would propel them to the post-season. My confidence has been shaken a little bit.

But oh well, just like there was no way they would put up 35 points against every good team they faced, the Ravens will certainly not get destroyed by every lousy team.
easy schedule? c'mon bruh! too many of you cats think like that in here. smh! this is the NFL! Any Given Sunday! we must take EVERY team we face seriously, regardless of their record or what the media says (negatively) about them. IF not....well...Titans 23 Ravens 13. get the point? lol

Already have several times, still see changes in the playcalling.

The playcalling did not do a 180 but it did change enough to be noticed. And rightly it should because that is the essence of a game plan. It was just not what it should have been. If you dont think so thats fine it's your opinion, but dont expect people to just jump on board because you say it's true. There are several reasons people could make that assumption, and for all those people who think cam is amazing, had no problem calling people idiots week 1 when cam was on fire. now those people need to be in the secondary because they have some of the fastest back pedals I have ever seen.

The more sidelines shots I see of Joe Flacco and Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron after turnovers, the more I wonder about their long-term relationship. Something just looks off at times there. That is what one analyst is saying, and what makes it sad is that is normally the guy that has us representing the AFC in the big dance or at least very close to it and he can see it.

Not you in particular, but most a lot of people were pointing fingers, and now I just noticed a lot of people singing from a whole different sheet of music one week later.
