Preseason 2 - Baltimore Ravens Vs. Kansas City Chiefs

made plays like that all 4 years at virginia tech, still that quick in the pros, give this kid some time and some mechanics adjustments and he will make for a good back up quarterback. More polished than Troy smith was coming out of college

Must say Mattison will make this team. Two weeks in a row he's played solid. I thought he was a for sure goner since he can't go to PS anymore.

Somebody call the Chiefs' team doctor because I think Justin Houston's out for the season with broken ankles! Way to go Tyrod! Dang!

The only young WR we had starting was Torrey, and he wasn't really starting. But you can't say Reed hasn't done a great job against backups. He looks like a man among children, and that's good enough for his first game back.
No I would never say that, he's playing spectacular against backups, that's exactly my point. All I'm saying is saying that the youth movement at WR has been vindicated isn't really accurate when the only production out of the youth so far has been against 2nd and 3rd team defenses. Lee Evans is clearly the best WR on the field tonight.

i really want to see Quan, Evans, Reed, and Smith on the field at the same time next week...i can now say we are in a better position now than when we still had Heap, Mason, Leron Mcclain

So, I missed the majority of the game because work suddenly got busy, but I was able to tune back in during the last drive.

I take it that the team looks much better this week than last week?

Im becoming a big Anthony Allen fan. He's looking really good. I wanna see more of him and Damien Berry.
I don't know if Berry is going to make this team. I was also surprised we went with Ricky. I really thought Allen could be the type of player we needed to offset Rice.

Well I know our young guys have a long way to go to prove themselves, that's why I said i was riding this wave of optimism. Because if you try to say "youth is a good thing" after one of them drops a pass no one buys it.

Also, I consider Evans to be youth considering our old redwood trees catching the ball last year

Depends on who you ask and if they can comprehend the level of talent (ours and theirs) on the field at given times...

I dunno, 2008 will basically be the core of our franchise for the next 5-10 years, so it'd be hard to beat that. But Smith and McPhee have been impressive so far, and Tandon and Tyrod have showed a ton of promise.

Really, I'm not certain you can say that. Flacco was 12 for 24, Tyrod is 5 for 11. The pass rush has been impressive, and the OLine has been better, so that's improved... Halfway through the 3rd quarter, we had some major panic attacks on here... ;)

Me too, I wouldn't go that far though. We've had some pretty amazing drafts.

David Reed is to Tyrod what Mason was to Flacco.

Allen looks good.

Tyrod just needs to start games the way he finishes them. He improved from last week.

Line looked much improved, 1st team defense played very well, pass rush has been great all game long, but Joe was inaccurate and the running game was inconsistent.
