Did Anyone Notice The Browns ?

49 posts in this topic

Cleveland still has a lot of work to do but I will say that McCoy looks a LOT more comfortable in the WCO. It's two games into the preseason so it's impossible to say they're a vastly improved team but they are definitely going in the right direction. The biggest concern right now I see for them in defensive depth.. they lack it a lot. I also think it wouldn't hurt to have another solid WR in the mix.

I expect them to be better than the Bungles, but they will not be better than us. Someday maybe, but not today. You have to respect what they are doing, and they are showing improvement year to year. Still, it is just preseason. You cannot form any rational opinion based upon preseason.

ESPN's James Walker is asked every week, in his "chat sessions", about the Browns' playoff chances.

And, every week, Walker says the same thing. The Browns are building the right way, through the draft - but they're 2-3 years away from seriously contending in the AFCN.

He's right.

Sounds like he needs to take the Browns to the Super Bowl!

Wow.. I haven't heard that one before! That's absolutely hilarious!

I pretty much agree with all of that.

I'm glad people don't consider 1/2 of the AFCN a joke... stupid Bengals. I just wish it was Ravens > Browns > Bengals > Steelers

Good News for the Browns: They will be 3rd in the Division for the next couple years.....

Bad News for the Browns: Ravens & Steelers Own AFC North.

The Browns will be the 3rd team in the division, there's no way they overtake us or the Steelers

not this year

Then eventually you would hate the Browns as much as you hate the Steelers. It's all relative.

Is this guy a Ravens fan or what?
[/quote]

some ppl just worry too much and stress out

the Browns are improved but they dont have the level of talent the Ravens do at ANY position really.

Colt McCoy looks good now but if u hit him a lil bit he get rattled, i remember watching a clip last year after a game Colt talking to Ben after the game and he was shook

Except the Steelers are the scum that the Browns are not.

I know the Ravens played last night but if anyone tried to notice the Browns last night they would have noticed a big pile of crap. =] Games like last night show why they have a lot of work to do.

I noticed. I wanted to see Hardesty play. The Browns stunk up the joint last night. Trying to force to many passes. dropped passes, defense was non-existant. The little dump off passes were killing them. Looking forward to when Rice gets dumps off against the Browns.

I don't know what they're gong to do with Cribbs being neutralized as a KR, at least for the majority of the season.

Even worse for the Browns, their starting guard Eric Steinbach is out for the year with a back injury, and RB Brandon Jackson is out for six weeks with turf toe.

That's addition by subtraction. Eric Steinbach is AWFUL and living off past achievements. His suckitude is minimised by being sandwiched between Joe Thomas & Alex Mack

It would have been nice to see more of Hardesty but with the awful weather conditions I can understand why he was limited. At least our starting defense looked decent; especially Taylor.

It will be an interesting transition for Cribbs this year; I'm curious to see how he pans out as well.
