Nickname For Flacco
That's pretty funny stuff. This is a hard one. I think he needs more time before we give him a nickname. Let his legacy play out a little bit, it will come to us on it's own.
I agree. Let's let Joe "make a name for himself" in this league. It's too early for a nickname.

Sorry guys, I have absolutely no love for "Bazooka Joe." Who the hell wants to be associated in any way, shape, or form with awful bubble gum? LMAO! On another board, I was pimpin' "Armadeus" as a joke because of that terrible one (or maybe two) hit wonder FALCO who did the song "Rock Me Amadeus." Of course I was never completely serious because that's way too much of a stretch for most football fans to ever "get it." ;)

I like Flacc attack the best so far.

Bazooka Joe sounds too much like a bubble gum.

I was thinking about the bazooka and his cannon of an arm. There's a few great websites with suggested rhymes, synonyms etc.. so i was fooling around with it and looking up cannons, guns etc.

Might sound like GI Joe'ish but how about... Artillery Joe, Torpedo Joe? lmao

Wonder if the team has any nicknames they use during practice. Well, one that could be repeated anyway!

I think Regular Joe works for me....

Well ever since I was a little bitty boy just listenin' to my heros sing
I knew someday if I could find a way I'd be doin' the very same thing.
Well dreams come true, Lord I know they do
And I can feel it down in my soul
You better make a little room at the top for a regular Joe.

CHORUS
Cause if you leave it up to me
I'm gonna be exactly what I've always been
The same old guy just havin' a good time, singin' for all my friends.
Well you'll hear me say 'till my dyin' day I'm the luckiest man I know
And anybody that knows me knows I'm just a regular Joe

Now old lady luck came lookin' for a lover and I reckon I'm her man
In the right place at the right time and suddenly here I am
When this train pulls out, well there ain't no doubt
I'm gonna ride her just as far as she goes
And at the end of the line you're gonna find I'm just a regular Joe

So crank up the sound and turn up the lights
Let's get this show on the road
Cause you're gonna party tonight with a regular Joe
Ya, you're gonna party tonight with a regular Joe
That is actually pretty damn funny.
He is almost 6'7", so he is a big Raven, but I think it's just a bit disrespectful, as are a few of those listed.

I just think a guy who knocks a linebacker down for a touchdown block and is stepping up after a few weeks as a pro, and runs for a record touchdown deserves a little respect...

I know we're kidding around, but someone he knows has to read this, and maybe we ought to give him a nickname based on the fact he studies so hard, he works so hard, he's a true Raven (blocking QB's for the win) and he's so cool mentally.

Blue Collar Bomber isn't altogether impressive, but it's better than what's out there now - due to his name and his cannon arm.

Maybe, The Technician due to his study habits and ability to prevent turnovers.

Joltin' Joe Flacco is fine.

I'm thinking something about his cool demeanor, nice personality, and Department of Defense weaponry attached to his shoulder.

I kinda like ''mighty Joe'' Flacco. how about ''GOJO''( isn't that hand cleaner). I really don't think he's an averege Joe though. Maybe since his last name ''Flacco'' resembles ''Flock'' and our team is Ravens??IDK -Mother 'Flocking' Flacco :D

You do make a good point. He is a bird (Raven), and a big one in fact.

I disagree with "Flacc attack", it reminds me some viral disease. "Joe Flow" sounds like a laxative.

I actually like "Big Bird".

What about "Cuppa" Joe Flacco?

I don't know how to incoporate Squilliam Fancyson (the one in the upperleft) into a nickname but he does bear a striking resemblance.

I like Bazooka Joe. However, the comic character looks more like Bramlet than Flacco.

OK, we are just having fun here. I don't think anything said here is going to hurt Joe's feelings. Nothing being said here is any worse than the ribbing that he receives just for being a rookie in the clubhouse. Not to mention the names and personal attacks that opposing defenses spit out during a football game to try and rattle a young QB.

It's fun! I'm sure Joe has a sense of humor. And not to mention.....

HE'S PLAYED ONE GAME!!!!!!! I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer here but the reality is that he is a rookie. Let's see what the nicknames become after he goes out and "blows" a game due to "rookie" mistakes.

This is going to be a big test for him this week. Two weeks off and then another divisional game against another "probable" playoff contender (Cleveland). Luckily he will have the home crowd energy behind him. Because the week after that, it's off Squeeler Nation for a third divisional game in a row.

If we can come out 2-1, I'll be impressed.

And I'm sticking with Big Bird.
