This is a really nice pickup for us. Now Joe has some experienced speed to throw to, and Evans can open it up for guys like Anquan and Doss to take care of going over the middle, with Torrey learning and seeing the field as a 3rd or 4th WR. Great job, Ozzie!

"Get McKinney [sic] in shape for LT"... bwahahaha! I'm sorry but if you know of a healthy way for a pro athlete to lose 50 pounds in less than a month, you need to get on TV and start making infomercials. We already got rid of a problem LT with bad work ethic, we don't need another one.

Ok news. Ravens really need Oline help. Oher doesn't look physically strong. He needs to rededicate and work on strength and technique. He gets push around alot. Carr and Weeb are not starters and Foxworth may be on PUP or IR. Get a CB, OT, backup QB.

Great pick up! I wouldn't count Torrie Smith out yet. He was going against a great corner and the routes that were called were horrible in the first place. It's the same routes they have been calling for the past 4 years. I didn't see any out-routes or slants; not to mention the offensive line was so horrible last night, receivers had to be open within 2 seconds. I don't know what Carey Williams doesn't show in practice, but everytime I see him in the game, he has been a beast... He deserves a shot at starting more then any other corner in my book. Most of the CB's showed some sort of weakness or had some sort of a issue last night.

Ozzie you got my faith back Thank you!!!!

Back? This is how Ozzie works....I don't get how/why people don't know this by now. He makes zero (mostly) moves at the beginning of free agency periods, but makes methodical moves throughout afterwards.

Lee was usually double covered in Buffalo. Now when teams face us they'll have to pick there poison if they're going to try to double cover Evans or Bolden. If Flacco doesn't produce for us in the playoffs with this WR receiver core this year than we never will make it far.

I'm excited about this pickup, but Lee Evans represents the POTENTIAL for success guys, not the acquisition of it. Remember landing Stallworth and Housh last year? This is a value pickup, but Ozzie's blown these kinds of deals before. I'm happy the issue is being addressed but this guy hasn't even left Buffalo yet.

Random... but I demand that Cary Williams gets a chance to start with the 1st team during preseason and see if he can start over Carr and Foxworth!

@TheSim. I admit im wrong about Mckinney because its too late for him to get in shape. However, if your happy with Oher at LT going in to his 3rd season then you really are living a fantasy. What made me upset is how poor he played on running plays. Again, its a good pick up but...lol. Lee Evans will never be open when defenses only have to rush four and LB every now in then. OFFENSIVE LINE!

these speedy receivers who are supposed to be down field threats, will only be if cam uses them like that. Im crossing my fingers

I am ecstatic about Lee Evans! Of all the moves we could have made today, this will be the most beneficial. Baltimore will LOVE Lee Evans! Oz isn't finished, so ease off on the o-line stuff. Some vet tackles will be available when cuts are made and Birk will play week 1. I hope...

Good pickup, but is he worth the $5 Million he's due this year??? Thought we had cap issues already?
[/quote]
He's due $3.75M over the next 2.....

This move makes sense. He has a chance to help, whereas Mason or Cotchery were simply not the WR style we needed.

NOW ... let's see if Cam can manage to call a few plays that work to his and Flacco's skill and go very, very vertical - at least every now and then to keep defenses honest ... PLEASE. Let's not make this guy Stallworth part 2.

@tbird

I understand your point, and I'll see what we do. Matt Birk wasn't playing either today

Yet...

It was still frustrating watching our O line.
