I don't know if he still has that same speed. If he does then I'm looking forward to some long bombs by Flacco. Unless Cam screws it up again for everybody.

Or if Cousins lets someone demolish Joe before he can throw the ball

I was more worried about him catching less than half of the passes thrown his way. I don't know if that means drops or what, but it's not a good stat.
I wouldn't worry AT ALL I watch the Bills a lot due to where I live and like 50% of the routes he ran were just fly routes and he was over thrown. Nothing to worry about, no issues with drops from Lee Evans.

So who are potential cast off O-linemen that Ozzie and Co may be waiting to snatch up? Are there teams that are so deep at O-line or so thin at other areas that we could get solid value by making an offer like the trade for Lee Evans? By the way I love the 4th round pick for a proven NFL caliber receiver (bird in the hand vs. potential high round pick bust or project/practice team player).

... and we got a 5th back as well. :)
He was also at the end of his contract. We signed him to a contract extension so he would be worth much more if he had 4 years left on contract. Otherwise he could walk after 1 year and go where he wanted.

Flozell Adams at RT, And either Andrews or O'Hara at C/G...then they will be in good shape.

with Joe's accurate arm I look to see Evans catch % go up noticeably-particularly on the fly route!

Flozell, the overpaid linemen of the century. Rabach didn't pass his physical, I don't know about O'Hara.

Personally I'd just rather give Reid his reps at RT and let him learn as the season goes. I mean he wasn't great at RT but he looked bigger faster stronger than Cousins. No excuses for Cousins, your a vet and you get beat by second stringers. Let the rook take his place.
I heard someone say we are still keeping an eye on Rabach once he heals up

You can add Oher to that list. I have yet to see him handle a somewhat decent pass rushing DE.

I thought Rabach was decent in the time he was here before, we just liked Flynn better. Didn't see him play much once he went to the Skins, just don't watch them much. Is he worth waiting on?

I just want to see one of these. Don't care when and where.
That would be nice. I'd love to see him do something similar to that ridiculous TD he had against the Jets a few seasons ago.

If the OL doesn't improve I'm sure Ozzie will take the necessary steps to make it as good as it can be

I think the NGata deal needs to get done..and we can spend more money on OL depth and backup QB most likely

NGATA would be a better LT/RT than Cousins. If only it were 1962.

Ah, the one against Revis and Elam. It was pretty marvelous, especially given that it was an underthrown pass in double coverage.

i think Ozzie is going to make a play for Lofa Tatupu...i think we need another LB
I think that would be a great pick up I wanted us to grab him,add him to our LB core cant beat that and we use that advantage in our division games

I dont think so, thats not a need, thats a want

a need would be a quality LT or RT and depth on the OL

a want is another big name free agent at a position where we already have enough talent and depth

McClain is doing a good job and Ellerbe has all the talent he just need to mature

with guys like Kruger maturing and Kindle coming back we are good on D

I kept saying watch us make a trade for a vet WR

I read through the Bills message board and after that I'm really happy to have him. They all talk about what a terrific guy he is and how he is severely underutilized and not given opportunities to shine in Buffalo. They think Baltimore will provide him with a better shot to have a terrific career with Flacco as QB. I think he will be a great edition.

That was due to uncertainty. I saw him get separation on Asomugha on the play Rice caught a swing pass. One he gains confidence, he'll separate from CBs even more.
Yea, I knew I wasn't the only one that seen that. He got nice seperation on Aso, real nice seperation. Great signing to get Evans, especially what we got him for. Patch up the O-line and we will surely be aight.

yeah O-line is our main weakness right now...

The Steelers face the same problem too, their O-line stinks and their secondary is horrid. I see us passing all day on them in week 1 as long as our OL gives Joe a second or two.

Our defense was getting good pressure all game long we just missed too many tackles at times....and the secondary last night was suspect but thats from rust and they just havent gotten it tightened down yet. Our defense will be solid, our CB depth is superb with Jimmy Smith, Cary Williams, Carr, Foxworth, Webb, and Chykie Brown(sp?)....Ed Reed will direct traffic back there

Preston is saying that there is strong talk of just moving Yanda back to RT and finding a guard in free agency. It's Preston, but that's our best option at the moment.

Bills fan here,i hate our front office. But in a way I'm happy for lee.He always had to play with crappy Qb's,never complained about anything.I'm happy he's playing for a super bowl contender he deserves it.Plus i get to watch him every week.I live in maryland and ravens are always on tv.So enjoy your great receiver. This is one of these trades that breaks my heart, cause i loved lee evans one of my favorite players.:( enjoy ravens fans.
