Now that's an upgrade over Mason and Floyd. Let's get some O-Line depth and get Ngata signed.
Floyd > Evans

BUT

Evans >>> Cotchery or Mason

Now it really opens up the WR3 competiton

Excellent move. I wanted Malcolm Floyd because of his deep play versatility. Lee Evans is a much better upgrade over Floyd and actually has #1 capability. Patience is a virtue and Ozzie pulls through once again.

I love it. Bills fans know how good Ozzie is at trading for guys and not giving up much to get him. They're like "why would you trade with the Baltimore GM?"

Atleast I feel alittle better now about our wide recievers pending boldin and evans stay healthy. knock on wood. Bring in O line help now and another veteran CB and I think were good enough to hang with the best in the league.

I disagree. Only thing Floyd has over Evans is the size. Lee Evans is faster and is an overall better receiver in my opinion.

I wonder where the little fella who started the "Ozzie is no good " thread last night is. We still have a few areas to upgrade but this was a great pick up by Ozzie.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the move. But would have preferred Floyd's size to Evans' speed. That being said, I like the potential of a 1/2 punch of Boldin and Evans and see this as a necessary and valuable move for the Ravens. I will feel even better when the Ravens confirm the deal.

Update - OK @1WinningDrive has confirmed it.

#Ravensconfirm they have traded a 2012 draft pick to the Buffalo Bills for WR Lee Evans

CASE IN POINT!!! Don't fully evaluate a team after preseason game one! Ha, people around here are funny!!
I know, right?
Even though I'm relatively new around here compared to some vets, people jump into conclusions and throw around critiques really early. Besides, it's still only preseason!

CB will work itself out with Cary Williams probably working his way into the rotation this year. WR is fixed with this brilliant move. Put some help on the line somehow and we're as good as can be.

Yes!

Not to mention he is more durable missing only 3 games (last season) over the last 4 years. Floyd is a much better jump ball WR but Evans is a solid router runner and has excellent speed.

That whole station is ussually clueless, Pretty much unlistenable now with viv and bulldog gone and whos bright idea was it to give preston 2 hours in the morning. It wont be long before that station is "restructured".
I don't mind Preston, but I definitely miss Viv and Bulldog.

I'm excited about the move. But he better be utilized correctly.

Could we send them Oniel Cousins too? Just take him for nothing, as a show of appreciation for this great trade.

Excellent....one more WR is up for debate, but I think regardless the oline needs to be the next focal point. I think we can agree on that.

Life just got harder for Justin Harper and Marcus Smith.. Wish them the best of luck.

I wish I could throw Oniel Cousins name in there too.. Maybe soon. ;)

It probably won't happen by Lee Evans and Johnny Knox would be epic. I think we are done with receivers barring catastrophic injury. Now with Evans speed and route running it opens up the WR3 competiton and I think Doss and Smith both have an equal chance now - leaning towards Doss (faster than Boldin, better routes and hands than Smith)

WOW! He has a 96 speed on Madden!!!
He is a crisp route runner too. Flacco should love this new weapon because he finds the soft spots and gets open DEEP, just what Joe needed.

Lee Evans 40 YARD DASH TIME 4.33 (NFL Combine)

Birth Date March 11, 1981
Birth Place Warrensville Heights, OH
Height 5-10
Weight 197 lbs.

Now, of course, 40 yard time generally means little on the field, but still good to see!
