Just Think... What If You Could Play Gm?

Well, the addition of Evans was a very wise move. The inexperience of the rookie WRs really shown in the Phiily game. Good move to trade for Evans.

Second thing to address is O-line help, problem is you can't go to the super market and pick a good one up. I think Oz will keep close tabs on roster cuts in the next few weeks to see if there is one available. If not then the coaches will need to really help teach the O-line better techniques, foot work and so on to improve.

Third is back QB, Taylor is decent but not ready to take over a playoff team. This is a team that is reloading not rebuilding.

My two cents on issues the Ravens need to address.

Umm why not... Ray Lewis and Sergio Kindle would be a great duo for an inside LB.... Nd Sergio can take Mcclains' spot... I believe Sergio is better than Mcclain... :-B
Plus.. Why would you not pick Cousins! Hes the probably the best RT on the team!

Mainly because he's not an ILB. It does not excel in coverage and has never played ILB.

If you're GM and can do whatever (within reason), you would stick with Cousins as RT?

If I were GM, I would:

Don't go searching for a new OL unless you can convince Langston Walker to play RG. The FA's out there are even worse than our backups. Trade for a big strong guard at the right price only.

Sign a backup Center.

Get Ngata's deal done before the 1st game of the season. There will be some major cuts and opportunities for depth.

Don't sign another backup QB unless necessary. Taylor offers another dimension and even though he won't be ready, he can make up for his passing inefficiencies with his feet.

Take a look at Lofa Tatupu to see if he can play 3-4 ILB next to Ray. Only for less than 3 mil or less a season.

Otherwise, I wouldn't do a thing, Ozzie has done a great job.

Ummm OL Brian Waters, Leanord Davis, and Chris O'Hara say Hi... they need to improve that OL... that is now Priority #1

My Idea..

QB- Flacco Taylor
RB-Rice Williams Parmele
FB- Leach
WR-Boldin Evans Doss Smith Reed
TE- Dickson Pitta
OL- Oher Grubbs Birk Yanda Cousins
DL- Ngata Cody Redding
LBs-Suggs Kindle Lewis Johnson
CBs- Foxworth Smith Williams Webb Carr
S- Reed Pollard Zibby Nakumara

What do you think?

Sorry, I stopped reading at Cousins (and NO, he's not the best RT on the team)

That would be awesome if we could.

"Excuse me where can I find the OLine Men?"
"Aisle 3 between the international foods and the condiments."

Bam! $7.99 later we are set at OL.

You mean Shaun O'Hara. But they are all too old and not a good investment. At some point, all of those players were All-Pro, but they aren't now. Otherwise they would have been signed by now. These players are band-aids at best and I wouldn't depend on them through a whole season.

But you would depend on Oniel cousins and a rookie? Come on man.

Ravens will end up signing 1-2 solid vet OL but who they are remains to be seen.

They need a RT and OG/C, lets see what they do, but rest assured, they will do something.

I am afraid that you will not see significant progress on the OL until next season because those veterans who will be signed are past their prime and stop-gap measures.
Next year if the Ravens do not build and replenish their OL through the draft, they will struggle and lose more to AFC North foes.
