I never did like Chris Carr.. Last nights game definitely didn't change my opinion on him.. I know it's just one preseason game, but I never thought he was all that good.

Its about the 2 seasons hes been here, going into his 3rd with us in pre season. He is very frustrating to watch and giving that guy that much money is a head scratcher.

The team probably would have preferred Wilson, but couldn't guarantee him the starting spot he wanted. Carr stepped up last season and played extremely well, he earned the payday he got. Its not a headscratcher at all.

Carr at 4 mill a year isnt too bad if hes an elite nickel corner. The 3,4 and 5 WR sets are run exclusively by some very good teams. If you want to win the AFC right now, you need to go through 4 teams. Odds are, the Ravens would meet 2 of the Steelers, Jets, Colts and Patriots to get to the super bowl, and a decent chance the Packers could be there opposing them.

The Steelers and Jets will need strong run defense (which I think we have). The Patriots and Colts will need Nickel and Dime Sub Packages a lot. If Carr is the missing piece as the nickel, then come playoff time, if hes doing a good job on Welker and Collie, then good job. if not, cut him next offseason.

I've always thought he was a bum. He has swagger for no darn reason and a nickleback shouldn't be playing that far off the ball.

You may have felt that way and that's fine, but the large majority were very happy with him last year and were happy again when we resigned him. Now he's a scrub? Then he'll back to being good and reliable when he plays well again next week....

Sometimes people over-perform on this Ravens Defense, I would say last year C.Carr over-performed in the same manner than F.Washington over-performed 2 years ago with us.. Guys man up sometimes and play like a starter and then when they seem to be consistent they fall back into reality. Much like Fabian did last year.

Now I want and hope Carr plays just as well as he did last year, but I can't help but think that Carr as player is closer to the player we saw 2 years ago than the one we saw last year...

With all of that being said I would still rather have Chris Carr over Frank Walker or Corey Ivy. Former nickelbacks.

I had it dvr ed , and i watched it over and over again , once in slow mo. Carr was i guess trying to play the ball and his eyes were glued to the QB, The WR just ran right by him, thats a high school mistake. But i will get the Wr his props, he did look good through out the game. Kinda wish we had him, he has upps for being a little guy.

Carr got his signing so i guess now he is going to have a slump yr, just like Suggs did when he got his pay day.
