Ex-Ravens

i took the liberty of following a few old Ravens. some people here are probably interested in this as well, so i'll post what i know so far in preseason week 1

Dawan Landry - playing starting safety for the jags, was in for a couple series, recovered a fumble, and made a solid wrap-up tacke on woodhead. the jags are pumped about him

Todd Heap - blocked great, one reception for eight yards. i miss this guy

Willis McGahee - didn't get to see his plays but apparently he had two carries for 17yds, one of which went for 12yds. i think he's gonna be pushed to #1 back. knoshawn moreno? remember how reed handled him? please. i think willis will show them all what tough is

Eron Riley - anybody remember him? he was on our practice squad one or two years ago. he had big receptions for denver tonight. (i probably won't be following him after this)

*cough* Kyle Boller *cough* - is playing backup to jason campbell for the raiders tonight. lemme watch, and i'll report back. i'm rooting for him

^true, Pitta was looking great, making his best jump-over-a-guy-and-catch-the-ball heap-style. can't wait to see Ed Dickson next week, as well as Ricky!

[...kyle boller....] - at first i was gonna say that he handed the ball off real good, but then he was looking sharp making pass after pass, leading the raiders to an almost-touchdown on his first series. his next series wasn't so good, three and out. then they put in Trent Edwards.

more to come with the next series of preseason games

Typical Todd. He had a good showing but had to leave the game with a sprained finger. Love the guy, but he struggles to stay on the field nowadays.

That sounds like Boller to me. Brilliant half the time and god awful the rest. I always had high hopes for him.

I like this thread. But it might tick me off too.

Willis McGahee over Knowshon Moreno is not happening barring any injury. Moreno had 1,150 yards and 8 TDs in 13 games on a team that was 7th in pass attempts. Minus McGahee's brilliant game against Oakland, he managed a 3.78 YPC during his last 3 years. 2 carries in a pre-season game aren't going to overshadow that, especially with Knowshon amassing 23 yards on 4 carries.

^that's fair. i do'nt know Knowshon well, i haven't seen him run except for his game against us. and i've had him on fantasy teams before and he was underwhelming. but that's fantasy

Josh Wilson - saw most of the first have for the 'Skins vs Steelers. They threw his way once because he was beat, but so was the receiver by the ball. it's stupid we let him go. however, he got hurt in the first half and left the game.

Chris Chester - you know a lineman is doing ok if his name is never mentioned. i watch him for a couple series. he's good enough.

*John Beck - i thought he was gonna play for the Skins tonight, but it didn't happen. weird

Donte Stallworth - looked good, was targeted in the end zone on a big pass but was just overthrown. didn't get a catch 'til the second half with Kellen Clemens at QB, but had two big first downs in a row, and another some series later. if only we had a receiver-friendly OC...

Yamon Figurs remember him? He's a titan, 1 rec 45yds 1 TD tonight
[/quote]

And he will yet again sail off into the sunset once the regular season starts.

The last two prior preseasons he had 9 catches for 130 yards.

2009 3 64
2010 6 66

Then he posted regular seasons totals of 3 for 24. All three of his catches came in the first regular seasons game.

2009 1 7
2010 2 17

Derrick Mason- http://twitter.com/#!/deemason85 let his twitter do the talking

There isn't enough evidence to be on either side that's a fact, we're not Ozzie's best friend. Mason looks like he doesn't feel like much of a victim by not giving his side of the story and just saying "Lol U have no clue". My opinion is Derrick was looking for excuses to not to resign thinking that going to Rex's team is better than ours and in the process looked like the innocent guy when he took advantage of a situation. The situation being "almost everyone must go". I tell you, this is making me hate the Jets so much with Mark Sanchez, Bart being more of a trash talker, and Rex thinking the world revolves around the Jets. Don't read the comments sent to the Ravens fan from the Jets fans. I'm not going to lie, they're pretty bad. I know how Ray has a place in his heart for the Patriots and Tom Brady, so you know week four is going to be intense. If there's one team besides the Steelers to give it your all yelling at, the Jets would be it. I AM NOT THE ONE TWEETING HIM!

I have to agree with you because Derrick wouldn't be the first person to ever take a paycut. But you have to admit that the profile picture of his is just gigantic slap in the face. I don't even understand why he didn't just stay with the Flock. We would have retired his number no problem and we are going somewhere, just believe. I hope Ed can see the light, he looks tired. Derrick gave us 6 great years. Key word here being 6 years not everything left in him. It sucks.

We would definitely not have retired his number and he didn't stay with Baltimore because we didn't offer him a contract. This is the best Ed has looked in years!
