Evans for a 4th? Yeah, how about Ozzie NOW?
A nice trade to help the rookies learn the position but it doesn't help the O-line issues.

If all our fans turn out to be like nexgenerationraven or have his thought process, our franchise is doomed!

But, it is impossible to be such a pessimist ever!

I give Ozzie an A-. I think he did well in the draft and pretty well in free agency. He would have a B or a B+ for those facets of his management alone. I upjump him to an A- because the man really knows how to use the preseason. He doesn't just send his team out there to play these games with backups, half-***ing his way through it just because he has to, it truly understands how to get a benefit out of the preseason: he is able to utilize it as a means for finding out truly what his players are capable of and more importantly where they need work, and then he quickly responds by making sure the problems get fixed.

This nextgen dude is probably like OMG OZ I love you! This is why you don't make irrational, emotionally-based posts. That's what fair-weather fans do best.

Now all we need is to restructure Haloti's deal and get a vet QB and o-line depth and we are set. Great job Oz and welcome to Baltimore, Lee.

Could there be two -100 posts in the same week? They're both deserving...
I'm hoping this one overtakes the last one and wins. This one is much more deserving IMO.

Where did I say the season was lost? I am just saying we can't go into the season with out currant roster we cut 3 starters but the only one I think we will miss allot is( Mason ).I am more upset about the guys we let walk in FA for minimal contracts like Josh Wilson and Chris chester we need all the O Line depth we could get and Wilson was our best corner last year. We let him walk for a small contract and kept Carr for not much more $. Chris chester also did not get a huge contract no one thinks about him he was not the best but solid and gave us depth and flexibility.

I know we had cap issues but many teams were over cap and just re worked contracts and singed there franchise player to clear cap room we would have not of had to do much to keep a few of our key guys.I did not here of us re working any contracts witch makes it look like we weren't even trying to keep or guys. This was not a good year to go with a youth movement that is why most teams that were on the cusp of a supper bowl kept as many of there player as they could from last year and picked up other vets to put them over the hump. We did the opposite.
The numbers don't lie. Next time make it more clear what your saying. Alot of people read between the lines. That in your case is what happened and again you see just how many others saw what I saw. Also, ripping at or implying Ozzie screwed up? Come on man!

A word from the wise... never, ever create an "angry" topic right after a bad game, especially a preseason one. Knee-jerk reactions always leave you with egg on your face. Ozzie's the man, and he proved it once again today by fleecing the Bills.

Evans trade kinda ruins this thread lol. But this thread was most likely made by someone that was reading all the random "rumors" about Floyd and others getting their hopes up and thus the lost lead to this thread lol.

Here at this Ravens organization we do coach up undrafted players to become contributors and even pro bowlers. We don't build around big name free agents or high draft picks. Although we have had our share of 1st picks to become stars. ( Starks, mcallister, ja.Lewis , p.boulware, r.Lewis, j.Ogden , t.heap, e.reed, t.suggs, Ngata ) I believe those are all multiple time probowlers.
In Oz we trust.

Ok, I'm in -71

Was avoiding this topic based on the title all day but finally broke down. I think the "like he ever had a clue" line sealed it. Getting the feeling Oz is doing everything humanly possible within cap constraints to get Ray & Ed (and the rest of course) that elusive ring. Pollard, Leach, Evans, Ricky. I'm no longer concerned about the departures we've had. OK, a little bit with Wilson, but the Ravenskins paid top dollar for him.

Look at our team and then look around the league. I'll be worried when Ozzie retires.

ok guys now that we have seen all of the holes in the 1st pre-season game what do you give The OZ so far ? The defense was awful, the running game was less then effective and no matter who was throwing the ball against us we did not have the answer to stop them. Our best defense was them stopping them selves.

In 2 series Rice gained more from side to side then he did moving forward. Flacco got smack several times and our defense looked just confused.

It sure is a good thing that we got rid of Heap, Mason and Willis and company. Who needs experience when we could have what we have right now.

The expect top dollar for seats etc but just dump the best we have to offer. Oh thats right Mason was only our leading receiver the last few years and heap was only our best TE and Willis got us into the end zone. Who needs to score or keep the ball with a running game while our defense struggles. Why would you strip both sides of the ball in the same year ? We had a few chances to improve either side but sat idle. Welcome to 2011 and Thanks Ox and company.

Have you noticed that we did not score a touch down tonight nor did we run the ball at all with success. Sure we can compete with the steelers. Great choices again this year front office gurus. why not just enlist an entire CFL team if you want to just put any team on the field. Would save a few bucks and atleast we would not have to deal with your BS excuses and theories while we watch a team lose on all levels by 2nd and 3rd string guys stopping us.

Looks like Oz finally crapped out that lucky horseshoe. Like he ever had a clue at all.

And the award for the most overreaction to one preseason game when there was no type of offseason activities whatsoever goes to......

There 1st team marched down the field 80 yards and didn't even break a sweet if this was a regular season game we would have got smoked. Our starting WR didn't catch a pass.Stop making excuses saying it is only pre season it is pre season for every one.
Yes it is preseason for everyone. Perhaps you'd feel better knowing that the Eagles had their starters in for pretty much the entire 1st quarter while ours were out after one series. They still only managed 13 pts.

This is how the Ravens play preseason. We like the wins when they come but it is always more about checking out individual effort for us, as it should be. That is how we wind up with the best product possible on the field come Week 1. All this sometimes painful evaluation is one big reason why we have made the playoffs 3 yrs running.

I'd have to give him a B+, although that improves if a solid G/C (Caset Rabach is signed) and then to an A or A+ if a Tackle is added and the grade is dependant on the quality of the tackle that is added. Great job Oz, and we know you aren't done yet!
