When The Game Begins Tonight Although Win/lose

27 posts in this topic

This game doesn't count for anything as far as scoring so we can't brag if we win or pout if we lose but what would impress us most on the field about our rookies....Is it heart, a good offensive performance, defensive performance or good performance from a particular player .....suggestions?

1st's exit with it tied or even up and I'll be happy. Individually, if Flacco throws a TD, great! If Rice breaks just one for over 10, great! If the first team gets one sack, great!

Other than that, crisp routes by the WR's and pressure by all players.

Suggestion? Don't start a thread about things already being discussed in other threads.

Yes, as always, this too!

For me it HAS to be the receivers. It will be a good proving ground to see whether these wideouts can carry us through the year or we need to bring in additional help.

Id love to see Kindle have a great game and build confidence. Terrence Cody, Jameel McClain and Cary Williams Iam very curious to see how they do.

I have the feeling that Tyrod Taylor may have a huge performance in front of his buddy Mike Vick.

I just cant wait to see our rookies play.
Question though. Since were so slim with WR, will Torrey and Doss stop with first team?

That's what is expected tonight and they are listed that way on the depth chart I believe as well.

I expect some sloppiness and for the offense to struggle. The OL doesn't have its Center so it's going to be rough. Tomorrow shall be an interesting day when I turn on the radio and hear the sky is falling!

Just the young guys getting out on the field and how they not only handle it, but performance. Just an exhibition game though nice to break the seal.

what would impress me the most about our rookies gameplay tonight is that.....they show all of their "haters" (in the media and some cats in here) that they are football players and have been playing the game of football for years! and now at the pro level....it is just the next step in their football careers! they know how to play this game! as Ray Lewis says... "It's football! This game will never change!"

Harbaugh said (forget which media day), that he will be playing the young recievers longer to feel them out, which will be a good move, i expect them to play till halftime ... ish. depending on how they do (i think), will determine if we persue any WR on the market. If they dont show signs that they can handle it, I wouldnt be surprised if TJ. ends up here for another year.

Hey, if anyone looks good I'll be happy.
After what they've gone through and the time missed, this could be a sloppy game.

Our first, second and 3rd string to show that they are looking to fight and show everyone they can play and win. to show that they are ready to go to war week one.

If Everyone Makes it out of this game without a serious Injury, and manages to get some quality reps, I'll be a happy fan.

Todd Heap to catch a pass from Flacco...

I want to see Torrey Smith beat Nnamdi Asomugha. That would make my night.

now thats going to be one hell of a throw! Philly to Arizona! I understand that's what you wanna see and we will miss that combo

"The Ravens announced their list of inactives for the preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday night, and what’s notable is that rookie cornerback Jimmy Smith is not on that list.

In fact, the team announced that Smith, the team’s first-round pick in April who has been hobbled by a groin injury, is slated to start. He returned to practice on Tuesday after making brief appearances on Saturday and Monday."

Go Jimmy go!!
