I don't think he is replacement for Jeremy Maclin because he will be out the first six weeks of the season. He definitely has the talent and skill to be an excellent WR when healthy so I'm not sure what the situation would be when both Jeremy Maclin (who is a pretty good receiver) and Steve Smith are healthy. They both are strong #2 candidates next to DeSean Jacson. Then you have Jason Avant who is a really good 3rd WR but Steve Smith is way better than him so he could probably see the boot. Good pick up none the less.


Sucks for the Giants fans who bought his jersey after his pro bowl season...

Can anyone explain where they got all of this money to sign all of the big free agents from 5-8 million? Will we expose a few of their budget cuts come time for preseason tomorrow? They said that they would take the first quarter seriously so there should be a few glaring problems with players trying to adapt to Andy Reid's style of play in such a short amount of time. I'm exciting for tomorrow night to say the least!

He had microfracture surgery and is expected to start the season on the PUP list and still might not even be able to play after the 6 weeks.

This is too confusing. Vince Lombardi would lose his mind trying to keep up with this or he'd assume that Andy Reid is stupid. Something is up with their team. Time will tell on what the future holds. I will say one thing, Ravens better pursue Jeremy Maclin if he's on the market! I have him over almost all of the receivers who were on the market for 2011!!!!

No doubt,the Eagles are going all in for it this year but if not mistaken, they picked up 1-2 extra draft picks for next year that could help fill the voids after next years cap kicks them in the arse
