well all the winning was fun while it lasted but now that we are rebuilding, we can forget about a superbowl anytime soon.. we will problly go 7-9 his season
This is why I hate the typical raven fan.

Are you serious bro? 7-9? Rebuilding? This isn't rebuilding.losing a 37 year old reciever isn't rebuilding. The only way we go 7-9 is if flacco gets hurt. Knock on wood. This is still a very stout team with foxworth coming back, shutdown jimmy being added, kindle healthy, and ed rees ready to start the season. Our defense got a lot better this offseason, I don't care what anyone says. Plus chuck paganos style helps.

We will be fine, and we will go atleast 11-5 with this cupcake schedule

Not really fair to call those people typical Ravens fans... I think most fans aren't so dramatic as to predict a season below .500. I have a sneaking suspicion that SOME of the people (not all!) who come in here predicting nothing but doom and gloom, who call for the resignations of Ozzie and Harbaugh and tell us to trade Joe Flacco are secretly Steelers fans just coming here to rile us up. Mostly I ignore them.

Yeah I would not want to be a Mod if we lose to Pitt in Week One. Guys might want to just accidentally trip on the plug on the servers if that happens :)

Ravens will go below 10 wins due to a poor line and .the fact they are rebuilding
By fact, you mean your opinion, right?

I think Torrey will work out fine everyone expected him to make all the catches and have over 100 yards this game will help him learn from his mistakes

But what if we beat the Steelers and Smith would made +100y and 2 TDs :D i think it would be very quiet in here :D
Just the opposite, haha, it'll be tons of people talking about how to get cheap flights to Indianapolis in February ;)

I'm starting to think I could take him.

I'm 5'2" and 97 pounds but I'm pretty quick, what do you think?

hmmm.. a couple more inches with 10 more lbs - maybe, otherwise it is going to be a dogfight between the two of you!

You crack me up. Its comments like these that imply your delusional optimism. The only way the coaches can make adequate decisions about their team is if their team is preforming top caliber. As much as you want to believe it, these players are playing top caliber so that the coaches can decide where and what needs to be adjusted. If we played only haphazardly the coaches would be at a loss as to what to do. We have preseason in order to understand our teams better and, in order to do that, we have to be all we are when we step on the field that we may have an accurate depiction of what kind of team we are...and right now we're sloppy. Get over it. Stop making excuses "Oh, its just preseason". Remember, its preseason for the Eagle's too.
Delusional optimism? Ouch. I have different thoughts about the purpose of the preseason and how teams go about it, personally, but you're entitled to your opinion. But please don't lecture me. Thanks.

Well I have a purple belt in karate, surely that is worth something?

I didn't really expect much out of the offense for this game, but I was still disappointed by the fact that they couldn't even keep up with Philly's back-ups.

Some of you guys need to relax. Anybody that has played football knows that preseason, scrimmages or exhibition games are not a very good indicator on how your team is going to performe when it actually matters.

Heck, we are a couple of weeks into training camp. You guys can go panic mode in case we look like crap versus the Steelers, but no sooner than that.

I agree. I think our offensive woes began with the lack of protection for our QBs. Cannot really blame the QBs if the passing lanes don't develop or have inadequate time to develop... all in all I was impressed with Pitta, Doss, Berry, Parmale, and believe it or not with Tyrod Taylor. This kid has great moves and is fun to watch despite a couple of interceptions last night. I only hope he develops his pocket passing accuracy this year behind Joe. He will be an awesome back up or change of pace QB if we ever need one.

Im sure this has been said before but I dont wanna look through all the pages but...

Kruger looked really good out there. He had some great accel when getting in the backfield (albeit at times out of control), he was getting of blocks and was in alot of tackles. I was very impresed and honestly think he was the best player on the ravens yesterday

Tyrod played decently last night. sure, the pics were bad but i think that Torrey Smith mess up a route on one of those. plus, he will continue to improve the more he is on the field in the preseason.

That OL was horrendous and Tyrod wasn't much better *sigh* Hopefully we bring in a Veteran QB in case Tyrod can't be the backup this year. The Defense impressed with the pass rush now they just need to actually tackle and most of Philly's points wouldn't have happened. Pitta looks like the next coming of Heap :D Torrey was suspect Tandon was good.

Sorry if I am repeating something someone has already said but why do the Ravens love Cousins so much? I don't get it..... every time he gets in the game he is absolutely terrible! I didn't even like when we drafted him. I hope they do not continue to start Cousins all the way into the regular season 'cuz if that happens we will never fix our O-Line woes in my opinion. We have seen what Joey can do once he has time to set up in the pocket. I am in favor of starting Jah or maybe signing a good veteran to step in for a year and let Jah learn under him. All I am asking is PLEASE DO NOT START COUSINS!!

These Philly announcers are truly annoying me more than the o-line as I watch this replay. They said Kruger was drafted last year and that doss was our tight end.

On Philly's td pass, one of the announcers said that Ray Lewis was "draped all over him," but it was Suggs. That was the Baltimore coverage, I believe.
