Gasp. And that's terrible considering winning the Superbowl is so easy.

They grow on trees, don't you know?

Either way there is way too much negative judgement on a game that doesn't really mean a whole lot to what the finished product will look like come 9/11. This crap happens every year and it just needs to stop. The kind of talk that has gone on here tonight is stuff that could be said a few games into the regular season if the same stuff is going on, but not during the first preseason game when there has been an extended long off-season. Take these games for what they are people!
Again, if the point of a pre-season game is to evaluate the talent on the field, then why is it crazy to actually do that? Our O-line could not have looked worse. Our primary receivers were invisible. Our backup QB, a 6th round rookie, looked like a 6th round rookie. How is pointing these things out not in line with the entire point of discussing a pre-season game?

I never said it wasn't in line in this type of discussion, I simply said not to look too far into it all because what went and the majority of the players that were involved are not part of the final product. I just think this all gets blown out of proportion and I'm merely advising all to not let that happen because it is very annoying.

well according to poe, i guess we are not entitled to our own opinion of the direction the team is going. good or bad, it doesnt matter what we think anyway but they do have these forums for a reason and thats for us to talk ravens football. why cant some of us just agree to disagree? thesim is right. this in ozzie we trust stuff is getting to be annoying and some people just cant look at it how it is. we made some not so good decisions this offseason. some agree and some dont

I'd love to see it that way but I can't. Cousins/Reid are part of the final product. T. Smith will have to be a major part of the final product. Tyrod Taylor may have to step in and play a game or two this year. Our starting DBs got caught flat-footed on nearly every pass by Vick or Young. The sheer volume of things that have to go right when the clear historical likelihood is that they will go wrong is staggering. And this pre-season game did zero to refute that belief.

I think LaQaun will make the team if he has another good game next week and I am Positive Torrey will get catches next week with Flacco playing more

No, there certainly are plenty of things we need to improve on. And yes, you are very negative!
im not very negative lol...i want us to be great...i dont make excuses and say ''ohh its just the preseason''...a NFL season is only 16 games...we dont have time to hope it all just magically comes together...weve got to FIX the problem!! im sure Ozzie will make a few moves to sure up this offense...we need a number 2 WR

Bernard Pollard, Dennis Pitta, and LaQuan Williams. Get excited.
Okay the only legit good play made by those guys tonight was Pitta. Pollard picked off a duck of a pass by a 3rd string QB (good play, but c'mon), and LaQuan Williams looked great, but against the Eagles' practice squad. How many of our dud WRs have looked great playing in the 4th quarter of pre-season games in the past? Harper, Marcus Smith, D-Will, the list goes on and on. Not saying these guys aren't going to be great, just saying you have to judge their effectiveness by the talent of who they were actually up against.

There's a difference between rebuilding and overhaul. Even though we're rebuilding in some positions, the expectation of a Super Bowl should still be there(if the offensive line situation is worked out). We are not dismantling the team with a complete overhaul.

you all are sounding rediculous by saying they are rebuilding they didnt have alot of starters out there like birk and ramon harewood
Harewood isn't a starter, though. And by most accounts, Birk's knee will not be play-ready by 9/11. Even if he does play, how effective will he be without any off-season at all to prepare and while still recovering from surgery?

You all make it seem like after a 7 month old lock out that the team is just going to magically come out in regualr season form its gonna take all of the preseason to get them in sync so stop complaining and saying we are rebuiling

I respect your opinion and view of what is to come but I honestly feel that you are going about it the wrong way in your evaluation. It wasn't pretty at all, that we agree on but to jump to any conclusions at this point of the year is just way too naive to be honest. Some of those guys will be a part of the final product but will have solid help beside them instead of what I will call camp bodies. Like I said it's you opinion and I respect that but I do feel that you and others are being very closed minded with much of this and that is my opinion. Cheers Ravens fans, we will be fine!
