For what preseason is suppose to be for, evaluating the talent. Why are you watching? For how the team wins?
Actually you just made my point. That's exactly why I watch. And what I saw was an awful lot of bad play by a lot of people expected to start one month from today against the Steelers, specifically in all of the areas that those of us willing to actually criticize this team predicted.

Pittsburgh plays Washington tomorrow, maybe they will play badly too. (Pittsbugh, I mean... That Washington will play badly is a given.)

You all will have to fill me in though, I'm going to miss it.

Ravens will go 8-8
And because the Patriots' 2 backup QBs passed for over 300 yards and scored 28 second half points, the Pats will go 16-0, right?

Equivalent logic.

he said Tyrod Taylor was ''electric''... and hes always honky dory after bad performances...he pissed me off with that last year and hes doing the same thing...i know its the preseason but cmon
I know being negative is your thing, but Taylor was electric. He was hurried seemingly every time he dropped back, but made plays with both his arm and legs. Granted, he was unable to finish any of his drives, but I think he was solid.

Ripping the team on TV would have served what purpose? He and the positional coaches will tear into the players come Saturday.

I still don't know how he's naive.

You guys do realize that all of the excuses you're making for the team... are the same excuses the Eagles could be making except that their players (particularly their starters) actually played well. And that was with their #1 and #2 receivers and their #1 corner not even playing a snap. If all you're going to do is watch the game and then tell everybody the game doesn't matter... why are you watching the game?
I think we are all watching a team come together in the offseason like every other year. These games mean everything in getting better at technique, learning the feel of the game, building timing and trust, and weeding out the players from the cuts but mean nothing as far as the win goes. Sit back and enjoy the young guys battling it out and learning from their mistakes. Feel free to critique and make your own opinion on where you think the team is and all but don't read too much into what you see until week one.

Not to be glib, but, we can't count on the Steelers being bad in order for our team to be successful. In 2009 we went 1-1 with them, they didn't even make the playoffs, and we still couldn't win the division or get a ring.

Okay here's the problem. We're not allowed to critique. There have been<no name calling>here posting predictions about us being terrible, but that's not what I've been saying or most of us have been saying at all. All we've been trying to say, seemingly since the day Ozzie cut Heap, Mason and Gregg, is that we have plenty of reasons to be nervous about this team, and seemingly it's been nothing but "Shut up", "Stop whining", "Just wait and see" and (nauseatingly) "In Oz We Trust" in response. Some of us would actually like to be able to critique the team without being told to shut up.

Lee Evans is open for trade. Bills just announced it earlier. Lets get this guy. Also Flozell Adams for LT.
I would love Lee Evans. But if we can't buy time with the O-Line. Evans isn't going to be very effective for us.

Gasp. And that's terrible considering winning the Superbowl is so easy.

Either way there is way too much negative judgement on a game that doesn't really mean a whole lot to what the finished product will look like come 9/11. This crap happens every year and it just needs to stop. The kind of talk that has gone on here tonight is stuff that could be said a few games into the regular season if the same stuff is going on, but not during the first preseason game when there has been an extended long off-season. Take these games for what they are people!
