So we spent the last two weeks worried about: backup QB, O-line, and WRs... and now that they've all pretty much performed horribly today, we're supposed to say, "Welllll it's just the first pre-season game, I'm sure it doesn't mean anything." If you're not concerned with this team right now, why are you even bothering to watch the pre-season game at all?

Well the Texans really put a black mark on him for coverage. But it was their overall defensive scheme and CBS that were bad.

I like that as well. I wouldn't read too much into Reed wanting his long time team mate there. I think that might be more a loyalty thing or a familiarity thing.

i think they played 2 series and there isn't enough proof it won't work.No matter how good Vonta is he can't block an entire dline.We need some blocking olineman

I think Pollard will be more effective for us. Reed has been working with Zib for a while, so there is definitely some personal connection there. But I do think Pollard will see more snaps, but I expect them both to be used depending on the situation.

I maintain backup QB doesn't matter, and the verdict is still out on our young WRs. We saw some things from Doss, let's see how the rest of the pre-season shapes up.

The big concern for me is the OL. If Shaun O'Hara can play guard and center, I say we sign him to back up Birk and play RG for us, and we can swing Yanda back to RT. Otherwise we need to find someone to play RT. Cousins is garbage, as I've said all along, and I don't know if Reid is ready. We can handle issues with the WRs, but we can't afford to have a weak OL.
