Should We Bring In Keon Lattimore For A Workout?

19 posts in this topic

He was cut by the Cowboys last month, should we try him out? we all know he has work ethic to spare and could really develop into something given the opportunity. Imagine the boost it would give to the team.

Keon Lattimore

Height 5-10.5
Weight 216
40 Time 4.55

BIOGRAPHY: Led Maryland in rushing as a senior when he posted 213/805/13 in nine starts. Also added 21/95 catching the ball. Junior-year totals included 160/743/3 on the ground. Struggled early in college with a significant right shoulder injury.

POSITIVES: Nice-sized ball-carrier who runs with outstanding quickness. Displays solid vision and instincts and waits for blocks to develop. Immediately finds the running lanes and quickly gets through them. Possesses the speed and agility to turn the corner.

NEGATIVES: Does not play to his size and does not show much power in his running. Tends to dance around rather than taking it up the field and running north/south. Gives minimal effort blocking.

ANALYSIS: Lattimore possesses terrific physical skills and showed a lot of ability as a senior when he was the primary ball-carrier. He lacks a physical nature to his game, which could be a consequence of his earlier shoulder injury. If Lattimore checks out medically and plays to his potential, he has a spot at the next level.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent

I know he's Ray's brother or whatever, but he doesn't sound like a Raven, and we don't need another HB.

I agree. As cool as it might be to have Ray's little brother on the team, I can't see him getting much playing time as he would be a fourth-string back. Between McGahee, Rice, and McClain there's just no room for him.

Maybe he should try switching to CB. All he has to do is lose a couple of lbs and get a little faster. Thatd be cool though. Lewis at LB and Lewis at CB.

Ray's morale is just fine.

Unfortunately our backfield is way too crowded at the moment, but should something change then I don't see why not.

this isnt like madden, if you make him happier than he already is, doesnt mean he will play much longer

i sorta think this is an irrelevant issue. i know that McGahee isn't at 100%, but i don't think lattimore is or would be the answer there. honestly, i think ray rice is more than capable of holding it down if anything were to happen to willis.

I think we're fine with McGahee, Rice, McClain, and Neal. Plus we have Marcus Mason on the practice squad and he is a pretty solid young back too.

Absolutely Not!!! We have Marcus Mason on the practice squad who's a lot better than Keon Lattimore. If he wasn't Ray Lewis' brother, he wouldn't be thought of. The Ravens don't think too much of family ties, remember we cut Jonathan Ogden's brother like 4 or 5 years ago. Sorry Keon, maybe the XFL will make a come back.
