The Prestige

The Possibility Of Brodie Croyle

22 posts in this topic

I honestly would rather have Colt Brennan, but Brodie Croyle has a decent skill set and mobility.

Chris Mortensen said it isn't official but that it could be happening. Croyle went to Ozzie's college, Alabama.

Also, an on-air dude at WGR550 in Buffalo said that his source "strongly felt" Lee Evans wouldn't be on the Bills' opening day roster.

People were high on Croyle at one time, he was on a bad team in KC? not sure if it was KC but he has starting experience and he could be a good backup...

I thought JP Losman, Ramsey, Croyle, and a few others im forgetting would make a good backup

and if by some chance Tyrod outperforms them then once day he could be the #2

Too bad Joey Harrington retired, he'd be a great backup

I wouldn't be surprised to see him cut by the end of roster deadlines. They'll probably only keep 3 QBs on the roster. Garrard, Gabbert and McCown/Bouman. That leaves an odd guy out.

Brodie Croyle has always been one of those 'nobody' guys who I just really like for some reason. Decent overall skill set, pretty big arm and mobility. I'd love to see him brought in.

Plus, if Taylor outperforms him for the number two spot, he'd be a great number three.

Croyle's probably the best back-up on the market, not that that's saying much. Back-up QB isn't a big need for me.

If Flacco gets hurt for any length of time, our season is done anyway. If we were to just miss him for a game or two at the most, then picking up Ricky Williams will look prophetic, since we'd go back to running the ball 50+ times for that game

Why dont we just wait and see what T.Taylor can do. If Flacco goes down, the other team Defenses wont know what to do with Taylor because he is completely different, he has a strong arm (not as strong as Flacco , but who does) and he can make rushers miss, he is so elusive.

I cant wait to see what he can do honestly, id rather have him than any Losing QB out there. There is no QB out there that is any good and everyone know it.

I would absolutely not want him on the team. He is as fragile as a newborn baby and I believe he has never won as a starter, something like 0-10 with the same team that Damon Huard won games with. Although his wife is very attractive.

I wouldn't mind Brodie in the case where there was not another option worthy of stepping in for Joe, but right now that remains to be seen. Tyrod is going to get his chance to prove his value and worth before we make any moves at that position obviously and I hope he does well enough to be Joe's back-up.

I know I'd be in the minority, but I'd rather have Jake Del-Hommie (lol, Hommie) Yeah, I know he's been hurt and a fraud over the last few years, however I think he could come in and win a few games if Flacco went down. And he's been to a Superbowl and I doubt he lost all of his skills. Our team is build to cover-up even the most frauded players.*

*Let's remember Rex made non-tackling Fabian Washington look like a shutdown corner with speed. :D

Brodie would'nt be the worst option. As has been stated in some earlier posts we would definately go run heavy. Like always, you limit the playbook and just ask him not to lose the game. There are still alot of cuts coming and this year it's anything goes.

No to all the free agent QB's, even if Tyrod stinks it up tonight, which i doubt. Let him learn the speed of the game in preseason, and we will have our number two guy.

Lol, when you Google Croyle, half the sites and most of the pics that pop up are about his wife!
