How does it work with the players we cut? Are we at a big disadvantage playing a good bit of our former players this year? I got to thinking about the Jets possibly having our playbook now that Mason is bitter and joined them. Is the one that they were copying during the offseason from last year, or is it the new "revamped" one for this season?

no way, players we cut turn in their playbooks

Im sure there is language in the contract too stating u will not take your playbook and share it with another team

just because Mason signed with ANOTHER TEAM doesn't mean that he is bitter! did you forget...the Raven RELEASED him bruh?

playbooks are turned in when a player is cut, traded or released.

Even so I'm sure there is some kind of language in their contracts that states even after they're gone they cant share a playbook with another team or something. I'm sure that a major no no in the NFL. Rex Ryan wants to win but I dont think he'd go that low...besides he probably knows a good deal about our team anyway

A playbook is always revamped. Plays are taken out from last year, plays are added, plays are changed. It isn't a constant thing if the coaching staff remains the same. They'll come up with a whole new playbook every year. A lot of the base packages and general terminology stays the same though.

They might have given out a general playbook during the offseason (when there wasn't a lock out) but there was probably a new edition for the 90 players in camp.

Mason or any other released player will be able to talk more about general tendencies than actual plays. Every coach's job is to keep things unpredictable.
