[Blogs] Is Torrey Ready To Be No. 2?

277 posts in this topic

We don't need import receivers. How many well named wide receivers last year "Patriots" have ? not any. So we can trust on our secetion.
Don't spend any money, we are fine.
8/6/2011 open practive I am impressed by our Defence. CARRY WILLIAM was doing great job to restict the flacco. Don't let that guy go, he is improving and now he is ready to play.
WOW.... What a great kicks nailed by BILLY CUNDIFF. I like tendon dos to because he comes inside the feild, previously we are not use to play inside of the feild.

T.O can not be fit in this team, he has different attitute from Ravens. I don't think so Raven are considering.... he is also injured... ACL injury take months some time years. So he is out this year.

There are options if he does not step up like David Reed, James Hardy, or Doss. Come the 11th if Harbaugh is not overall satisfied with the currentt situation expect to see either Clayton or Housh back in purple. They know the offense and there really isn't many other options anymore. Clayton did shine in St. Louis at least. Housh def. is better than he showed. Housh is better as a wideout and not a slot kind of guy.

The more and more i look at good offensive teams from last year the more I feel better about our offense. Look at the Bucs for example, 2nd year QB, and a bunch of rookie WRs. How about the Chiefs. Matt Cassel, Dwyane Bowe, Jamaal Charles and a bunch of unproven Offensive weapons. Joe Flacco this year will have, David Reed, Tandon Doss, Torrey Smith, Ed Dickson, Dennis Pitta, Ray Rice and Boldin.. I'm starting to feel better about our offense. Who's with me?

I notice the ravens almost never play there rookie Or player they drafted in year erlyer unless there mybe a DL RB TE LBS. but teams like the steelers always play there guys and they get good with playing time example mike wallace emmanuel sanders they make plays for the steelers. there young guys. the steeler trust there young players they throw them into the fire to make them work and grow to help them in the future and when the time comes. why don't we do that with our players, its working for the steelers o_o why not us we do draft good every year right so why not us? i get sick every year we watse a draft choice and see steelers draft some one and he's playing helping the steel sneak out a win VS use.

The Sim, you're right, and also we wouldn't have the guys we ended up with when the idiot broncos gave us 3 picks to move up to our spot. Some of those guys are going to be major contributors. Especially Kindle who I expect to be an absolute beast. We were so close last year, if he'd been with us it just might have been enough to make the difference.
I really think we will get another SB in the next 3 years, I just really hope Reed and Lewis are still here.

Our OL is my major concern, our first game is with the steelers I am certain those guys would love to shell shock Flacco in the first couple plays of the game if our O line has any weak spots they will exploit it and we can kiss our passing game goodbye.

Such a fixation at present on #2 WR, but what is everyone's feelings on #2 RB?

This is not like a backup QB, where if all goes well, they won't see the field for a single play the entire season. The #2 RB has to be effective in taking the workload off the #1 to keep him fresh and healthy. Between Parmele, Allen and Leach, we have a combined 10 career carries.

Is the team comfortable with this situation and is Parmele the guy we're going with?

long story short we need to player our young players if we draft so good each year so we can see what they have instead of wasting pic's on players who are not going to play for us no time soon.

example 1. Kruger, Paul a 2nd rounder
2. David Read a 5th rounder but he shows a love of skill last year
3.Cousins, Oniel 4th rounder been with us 4 year 2 starts with us ever
4.Phillips, Jason 6th rounder he's ok on spt i guess
5. Nakamura, Haruki and zibby both greats guys 5th and 3 rounder.
6.Smith, Marcus 5 or 4 i think. i kinda think he's ok but he sucks because didin't get a good shot to show what he's got david reed will be just like him if we dnt play him.

we had lot more players that could have been good for us by now but the pass is the pass so I wont say they names.

I think OL depth is the most important need right now. We need a Center and Tackle badly. Backup RB is a need as well. Depending on how much $ they free up with the new Ngata deal, which is long overdue, I still think they should try to pull off a trade for Samuel or Umenyiora because adding one of them would make the defense so good it could make up for some of the offense's shortcomings. A backup QB would be nice, but this is a position that, like balfan23 says, hopefully never sees the field. I'd rather see them make the rest of the team as good as possible first.

kodak, okay with bringing Gaither back, but Oher is a tackle and Yanda is a gaurd. The only move Oher would make is if someone beats him out for the LT spot and he moves back to the right side. The only move Yanda would make is if he is forced back to tackle due to injury or poor play.

Well I hope that he is ready, but I know it is doubtful. Another season of drops in the endzone. We need to get a real playmaker and stop playing games. Why make the game so hard for yourself. We would need to have all the stars, moons, and quazars lined up in order to win the superbowl now.

COME ON PEOPLE !

Regardless of how our chances look rite now our one and only concern should be the steelers week 1 thats where we punch our ticket to the SB
