Hall Of Fame Speeches

15 posts in this topic

Just watched some of the Hall of Fame speeches, guys like Shannon Sharpe, Marshall Faulk and Primetime...

Sharpe's speech was probably the most emotional, does anyone else watch these things and fight back tears?

Haha, seriously I get so tuned in to stuff I can really get caught up in it if I let myself, it was pretty good. I usually dont pay it any attention, at least not until our guys go in.

Ray Lewis and Ed Reed...Ogden will be going in soon!!

Anyone going to go?

I promised myself to make it for Ed Reed. My all-time favorite football player. I look forward to the day.

I was busy most of the night, so the only speech I saw in its entirety was Deion Sanders.

Primetime's speech had me teary-eyed. It was pitch-perfect from beginning to end. It had a consistent, universal theme and you could tell it really came from the heart.

The one line that really spoke to me: "If your dream ain't bigger than you, there's a problem with your dream." The moment those words came out of his mouth, it really made me take a long, hard look at my life and ambitions and I was suddenly inspired. Amazing stuff.

Man Shannon and Deion had me in tears. I didn't even fight! Both men let their love and passion out. I'm glad I didn't miss their speeches.

And I WILL visit Canton to watch JO get enshrined. I've always adored the big guy!

This was an amazing class of rags to riches inductees and their speeches were truly inspirational. They did the NFL and us fans proud. I did get annoyed when the stupid Ohio locals boo'd Shannon for mentioning Art Modell, though. Geez people, have a little class.

I've always looked up to Deion and Shannon, so I watched their speeches then turned it to a different station. Definitely gave it their all and put their hearts into it.

"I'm the only player in the Hall of Fame who's the second best player in his own family." Great quote from Shannon in respect of his brother.

Shannon killed it! Richard Dents speech was horrible.
Prime and Marshall did good work.

I didn't hear or see Shannon's speech but I read about the booing and I cringed. It almost makes me wish that the ceremony wouldn't admit fans, but then that would defeat the fan-friendly nature of the entire weekend.

Shannon's speech probably hit me the most..and Deion's was good too. Those two guys were known to talk so when they gave their speeches it was smooth and very easy. Faulk's speech was good too but he didnt have that same ability that Shannon and Deion have...maybe thats just me
